This whole day tour will spend 70% of our time doing beach activities on the North Shore. Guests will have the option to Swim, Kayak or Paddle Board, or do a Waterfall Hike, which have some of the most breathtaking sights and where Jurassic Park, Jumanji, Here to Eternity, and 51st Dates had been filmed. The other 30% of the time is spent sightseeing both the East and North-East Shores. Encompassed in beauty and splendor, the Hanauma coastline is a destined location for popular movies such as Jurassic Park, Jumanji, Blue Hawai’i, Here to Eternity and 51st Dates. Due to the Pandemic & recent changes to Hanauma Bay State Park policy, we are not able to take guests to Hanauma Bay for snorkeling at this time. When commercial activities are reinstated at the Bay we will resume that tour.

In ancient Hawaii, royalty celebrated the local culture and special occasions by organizing feasts of mea'ai (food), hula (dance), and mele (songs). The word luau came from one of the foods served at the feast. Mele Luau pays tribute to the culture of Hawaii with authentic food, dances and songs of Hawaii and Polynesia. Enjoy a lei greeting, welcome drink, pupus (hors d'oeuvre), and pre-show activities before you experience a Samoan cooking demonstration in an umu. Featuring a feast of traditional luau food plus some vegetarian specials and children’s favorites is sure to please. The bar has tropical favorites, wine and local craft beer. The show is a Polynesian Love Story with traditional dances including the Hula, Haka, Siva, and Otea, spectacular fireknife dancing, and some special surprises.

The highlight of the show is the Samoan Fire-knife dance, known as the "Tooth of Death". In the original interpretation, this dance was performed with a dangerously sharp blade. The story behind the dance is of a Samoan chief making a movie for Hollywood many years ago. He decided to include the flaming torch in his part to make the dance more spectacular. The show also includes the energetic Samoan Slap Dance, a traditional display of male prowess. True to the name, the dancers slap their chests, arms and legs repeatedly throughout this segment. For Samoan men, this was an opportunity to demonstrate their bravery and courage.

Tickets are limited to less than 60 guests a show to provide close-up miracles, laughter, and the joys of a bygone era. Guests can participate in the show and enjoy the childlike wonder created by miraculous feats of prestidigitation.
