"The price of this private tour is very good considering the distance travelled (2.5h from Guilin downtown to Longsheng, one way), plus the quality of service. Charles (who I spoke with on Viator) responds promptly. Sandy, our guide & driver, was great - China had just opened up recently, and there are barely any English tours available, so it was a big deal that Sandy spoke English. Sandy arrived early at our hotel for pickup (and graciously waited for us who were running late from breakfast 🙈), we dropped by all the stops mentioned in the tour description, after which we were dropped off at our hotel. We chose not to stay long at Huangluo Yao village (which was packed with domestic tourists at the time). At Longji rice terraces, we had the flexibility to wander around on our own, which was easy because there were a LOT of signs (as in one at every junction, in both English & Chinese). We also had the flexibility to have lunch whenever and wherever we wanted - there were several restaurants open, all serving the traditional bamboo chicken & rice (which was delicious). It was rainy & foggy the day we went (and we couldn't reschedule anymore given our itinerary in China), so we didn't get a clear view of the famed "dragon's back" in Longji, but there were many other incredible things to see & experience - sea of clouds rolling over the terraces, ancient villages perched on rocky mountains, the friendly locals."

"All the family enjoyed this well planned show with many actors and visual effects. For us, this was a perfect way to end an active day. After cycling and climbing the moon hill, we were happy to relax with this excellent show. We sat very close to the VIP area and got a very welcoming treatment by the ticketing representative that walked out to our seats and explained the different themes of the show."

"Although it was very difficult to locate the ship terminal, the river cruise itself was fantastic. The ever changing lights and colors of the buildings on both sides of the river were just amaxing. Althougb I must have been the only foreigner on the cruise, there were no problems at all."

"The tour was fantastic and well-organized. We checked into our hotel Thursday night, and booked the trip for Friday. Unfortunately, we didn't have Chinese cell phone numbers, so I was a little procarious as to how we would find out about the pick up details. I assumed it was going to be sent via email, but when we checked into our hotel, we were told that our tour guide called the hotel to relay the information for it. It was a great surprise! As for the tour itself, it was amazing. Our tour guide, Melody, was personable and friendly. By the end of the trip, she ended up becoming a great friend and contact in Zhangjiajie! Unfortunately, the views from the mountain were limited since it was rainy and foggy, but we were still able to see enough. Overall, though, a fantastic adventure from an even more fantastic guide!"
