  • Round-trip airfare, lunch and all entrance fees included
Step back in time as you visit one of the most impressive ruins of the ancient Mayan civilization at Tikal National Park during this 10-hour day trip. Best of all, you’ll get to visit this one-of-a-kind wonder of the world via a flight from Antigua, saving time during your Guatemala adventure.
Begin your trip with a 3:40am pickup from your hotel in Antigua, before proceeding to Guatemala City’s airport for your flight to the town of Flores in northern Guatemala. Upon your arrival in Flores, a pre-arranged vehicle will transfer you to Tikal National Park (Parque Nacional Tikal), where you’ll begin your exploration of this amazing UNESCO World Heritage site. Covering an area of 341 square miles (550 sq km), this fascinating Mayan city offers a wealth of structures for exploration.
Check out a number of Tikal’s most important buildings with your guide, including the Central Acropolis, containing a labyrinth of interior temples and courtyards, as well as Complex Q and R, home to twin pyramids and intricate religious complexes at their base. You’ll also have time to admire the giant Temple I, also known as the Temple of the Grand Jaguar. This 144-foot (44m) religious structure was built to commemorate the burial of Mayan King Moon Double Comb. Finish your exploration with a stop at Temple II, which has been dubbed the Temple of the Masks.
Take a break to sample a tasty lunch on the grounds of the national park before getting some time to wander the site at your leisure in the afternoon. Then proceed back to Flores airport to catch your flight back to Guatemala City and transfer back to your Antigua hotel.

From start to finish this was one of the best tours I've participated. It was easy to book on-line. The driver was prompt and courteous. Our flights between Antigua and Tikal were completed without difficulty. The tour guide was knowledgeable, and personable. The lunch was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour without reservation.

Our trip was awesome. The guides were good and spoke English and Spanish. Tikal is incredible and is a must visit if you are in Guatemala.

This trip was a good fit for me because I had to squeeze Tikal into one day. However, there is so much to see and just no way to see it all in this short tour. I really wanted more time! If you are able to visit Tikal and spend the night in Flores, definitely do that. The guide was fine, he was very interested in the philosophy of the Mayans. He gave us a little bit of free time (about 20 minutes) to explore, which was not nearly enough, but my favorite part of the trip. As far as transportation, it was well arranged. Shuttle was nice. You will still need to get around the airport by yourself, but someone will be waiting for you when you land.

An absolutely amazing day!!!! This tour was the highlight of the trip for me. Yes, it is a long day, but you are able to do so much! The pickup and drop off driver was a good driver and pleasant to talk to. I was impressed that he was able to recognize me in the evening and waved me over which was a good thing as I was tired after the long day. The guide for the ruins was very informative and was able to adjust the schedule to give us the entire guided tour even though our flight was delayed. I felt we had the perfect amount of guided tour and free time to explore and take pictures. I would happily book again and recommend this tour to everyone!

My review is based on the expertise of the wonderful guide we had. Carlos was extremely knowledgeable regarding the Maya structures and their history, which was expected, but he also possessed a deep familiarity with the plants and wildlife of the site. He was able to call birds, monkeys and other animals so that we could get a better look at them and to identify and discuss interesting features of the flora. The trip was unexpectedly special for his comprehensive understanding of Tikal in its environmental context and his ability to convey his love for it.

Would highly recommend this one day tour to young healthy people. Older people and children would find this tour very difficult. We were picked up on time. We didn't have any problems with the flights, however I'd warn you to be at the gate before the boarding time. The guides were knowledgeable.
