Private Day Tour To Luxor from Cairo by Plane,tours,sailing felucca&camel ride.

If you only have a limited time in Cairo, this is a good way (but a long day) to get a tour of the must-see historic sites in the Luxor area (Valley of Kings, Hatshepsut, Karnak and Luxor temples). We modified our itinerary to skip the camel ride and go to Luxor temple instead - do not miss Luxor. Our guide, Ahmed, was very knowledgeable on Egyptian history and was very helpful in accommodating unexpected needs and in changing our lunch menu and itinerary. He also checked on us to make sure we got back to our hotel ok. He and the driver were very nice and we definitely recommend this tour and guide. Know before you go: A driver will take you from your Cairo hotel to the airport and then you meet your tour guide in Luxor. We were picked up at 2:30am and got back to our hotel about 8:00pm. Bring Egyptian cash - admission fees not included or required tipping - and a working ATM was difficult to find. Eat before you go, there is no breakfast on arrival - but our driver kindly took us to a market to get something. You will stop at a stone carving museum and store with the long sales pitch. If you buy, expect their first offer to be about 3 times higher than you should pay.

Great day trip from Cairo. It is a long day but they give you a room to rest in before the return flight. Knowledgeable guide and organized itinerary to make the best use of the day.

Great trip, everything went smoothly. The Karnak temple was probably the highlight of my entire trip to egypt. Awe inspiring. Go see it.

We loved this tour. We received very good communication about pick up times and our guides and drivers were all punctual. First the plane ride to Luxor - just know the pick up time is early. Saladino picked us up at the airport and, with his driver, spent the entire day with us. Our lunch on banana island was very good. The visits to the pyramids were amazing. It is difficult to imagine historical buildings/temples/pyramids dating back so far. Luxor itself is slower paced than Cairo, and beautiful. On our camel ride we experienced seeing what the people were doing. Our felucca ride, even though there was no wind, also showed much of the daily life of Luxor. We even saw the ancient fishing art of slapping the water so the fish would go into the nets. Loved that we were given a motel to rest for a few hours until our flight home. Great communication. Fabulous experience. Highly recommend Saladino and this tour.

Me and my friend had such an amazing day in Luxor. Our tour guide Ahmad was the most knowledgeable, kind, patient and enthusiastic tour guide one could hope for. The tour involved a variety of things from the tombs in the valley of the Kings, the Queens temple, the large temple of Karnak , And an adventure down the Nile river on Felucca boat with tasty Egyptian food ; we even got to dance to some great Egyptian music. che dire prelievo dal mi hotel, aereo dal Cairo verso Luxor, tutto ben coordinato. Guida a Luxor ottima, trasferimenti idem. Ho avuto una feluca tutta per me...giro in cammello, ottimo pranzo, stupenda giornata e siti ovviamente! Consiglio a tutti questa esperienza. C'è stato un imprevisto per il volo di ritorno nella stessa giornata e mi è stato pagato un hotel lungo il nilo ottimo!

*English below* Der Trip war mit Abstand der beste, den ich während meines kurzen Besuches in Ägypten hatte. Angefangen mit der frühzeitigen Information über Flug und Abholung vom Hotel bis zur super Organisation des gesamten Tages in Luxor. Hatim war mein Reiseführer und er spricht sehr gutes und leicht verständliches Englisch. Er hat mir viel über die Stadt, die Leute und die Geschichte erzählt. Ich fand es gut, dass der Flug nach Luxor früher ging, als hier auf der Webseite angegeben (Ankunft in Luxor 6 Uhr), da die Plätze, wie das Tal der Könige, so früh noch nicht mit Touristen überfüllt sind. Außerdem ist es vormittags noch nicht so heiß in der Sonne. Die ganzen Geschichten zu den jeweiligen Plätzen und das alles live zu sehen, ist sehr beeindruckend. Nach dem man alles besichtigt hatte, war die anschließende Fahrt mit der Felucca auf dem Nil super zum Entspannen. Zwischendurch ein Halt für einen kurzen Kamelritt und anschließend ein leckeres Mittagessen auf dem Boot, haben den Tag perfekt gemacht. Der Preis mag zwar für einige etwas hoch erscheinen, aber wenn man bedenkt, dass z. B. der Flug mit drin ist und das Programm sehr umfangreich ist, ist es definitiv das Geld wert. Ich war jedenfalls sehr zufrieden mit allem und kann es jedem weiterempfehlen! Starts from getting all information about flight plan and pick up from hotel early until great organisation of the whole day in Luxor. Hatim was my personal guide and he speaks very good English which is easy to understand. He told me a lot about the city, their people and the history. The flight to Luxor was much earlier then written in description here on the website (arrival at 6am) but I liked it because early in the morning all the public places like king's valley are not really crowded by tourists and it's not that hot in the sun that early. The histories of all these places and also to see everything in real life is really impressive. After all sightseeing, the cruise on the Felucca on the Nile was great to relax. Together with the short stop for camel riding and for the delicious meal on the boat, it made my day. The price may look high for some people but think about all stuff you will get beside the flight to Luxor and back. I really enjoyed everything and I totally can suggest this trip to everyone.
