Your Chicago Explorer Pass, available as your 'ticket' after purchase, comes with access to a digital guide to help you choose the two, three, four, five, six or seven activities that interest you most, from more than 25 options. There is no need to pre-select attractions, Go City allows you the freedom to change your mind based on your whereabouts, the weather, or your mood on the day. But once you've chosen your attractions, access to them couldn’t be easier—simply display your pass (on your smartphone or print at home) at designated ticketing areas and enjoy.       I should of purchased the CityPass. With this pass there where many limitations and grey areas that were NOT disclosed at purchased or when I called after purchase. I went to the Chicago Skydeck and my friends and I that purchased this pass had an obligated time to do the attraction meanwhile someone in our party with the city pass, was easily able to participate with no set time. This pass covered only general admission for the Tilt attraction, which meant that once we got up to the tilt we had to pay extra to do the attraction. My time in the city was amazing but this pass was a waste of money!

      Do not buy city pass. I was cheated. After visiting one place and then comparing the price of that place and the other destination we are going today, it seems I paid extra $60. Please check individual price of tickets before you buy one with them

      Problem with the ticket

      Trip operators couldn’t read your QR code. We had 2 trips , on check in they couldn't’ scan the ticket code so we had to pay it, code is not scannable

      Terrible experience. Passes weren’t accepted for entry to Museum of Science & Industry so had to pay out of pocket. Didn’t bother to try at other venues. Won’t use this “service” again!

      Tried to use pass and not accepted in navy pier and sky deck Chicago.They were asking individual tickets for events and this app didn’t able to provide . Tried to reach GoCity people they are closed after 6. Had to buy tickets all again .

      Hard to use to buy eTics (which most all places require)

      It’s hard to use because most venues require you to purchase tics on line or in advance, but the tickets don’t ‘activate’ until after the first scan, and I don’t see where I can pay with the Viator conf number. So far, of three places, I had to buy two of the three tickets (so have only used this pass once when it should be #3).

      We used the Explorer Pass for our first day in Chicago for the Hop on Hop off bus and the Architectural river cruise. It was fantastic. We just showed our tickets at each location and were able to exchange for tickets. We still have another activity for tomorrow on our 3 activity pass. Well worth the price and convenience.

      You have the worst website for purchasing passes as gifts. You cannot figure out how to have the recipient of the pass make his or her own choices. At least four operators have given me different answers about how my friend, for whom I bought a $129 Go City Pass good for 60 days can access it without me having to do all the booking. I wanted him to do that on his own and not have to go through me as a third party. This is RIDICULOUS. He has not been able to access it yet.

      The tickets would not download on my phone and after a 45 minut phone call their solution was to find a computer and downloaded there . What is the point of having a phone app if it does not work and I tried to cancel but terser is no cancel policy. Even if it’s their app

      Amazing package! Everything was perfect, I don’t know why people would rate this anything less than 5. I understand that certain things needs reservation, but you can always check them on the app. The 360 observatory is the only thing we couldn’t reserve beforehand as it was mentioned on their website, you can’t do it through explorer pass. But pur line was pretty short, but it was on a Tuesday.

      This Viator app is miserable and has now made it impossible for us to use our second attraction and customer service isn’t helping. Go city isn’t the problem. The app is also clunky to use Our one attraction was great!

      Unable to use the "vouchers" to pre-reserve tickets at attractions was extremely frustrating. I paid $25 for parking at one attraction just to be turned away because they these are considered "third party tickets" and they dont hold the same value as the tickets you buy at the box. Waste of time I would recommend to buy this pass.

      I wouldn’t book through this vendor, we weren’t allowed to attractions because they are only allowed to go certain days. Information on site is not accurate to the one of the attraction and it is hard to manage your reservations because this is a 3rd party.

      I chose the 7 venue pass which in the end proved too much as some of the venues are not open in early spring. In total I saved 35 usd (calculated the cost of buying each venue separately) plus I got an extra activity for free at some venues (say another 40). So overall it was a good purchase. Note: this was the explorer pass AND not the city pass. The former does not get you into the Shedd aquarium AND no discount at the venues’ stores.
