The Taste if Florence with a bit of history

You will learn more in three hours of this tour than in a week of trying to figure it out yourself/ guidebooks and so forth. The Tuscan steak was amazing. The tour really exposed me to many things most people miss staying in their hotel rooms.

Yael was our tour guide and she was wonderful. We met on the square as promised, and she brought us to the restaurants. I would have preferred a bit more food, as I was a bit hungry at the end of the night, but all in all she was fun. Sweet and friendly, a native Florentine we had wonderful wine and food and conversation, and that’s exactly what we signed up for.
Not worth the price

The tour guide was nice but there definitely was not enough food to make it worth the price. We started with a few cheeses/salami and a small bowl of ribolita soup. The second place we have a few pieces of bread with olive oil and spreads. The third place we have ribolita soup AGAIN and shared a steak between 5 people. It was a poor experience with very few foods to try. There was no pasta or gelato. And i’m not sure why they thought it would be good to serve us the same soup twice. There was enough wine. Overall, book with another company. I saw similar reviews and wish I booked with another company.

There was three stops on our food tour. First for an appetizer that was a small charcuterie board. Didn’t feel that it was anything special Italy or Florence, second was wine tasting in a wine cellar that was really impressive, next was dinner at a local restaurant (served pasta (good) florentine steak (not that great) filled by biscotti and sweet wine for desert.) expected there would be more to the meal.

This was a wonderful experience. I feel we were so lucky to have Lori as our guide. Smart, well informed, considerate. The kind of person you would like to have as a friend. We leaned a lot from her. The food and wine at the stops were very good and informative. I don't think there could have been a better way to spend our first evening in Florence. Thank you

We had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour! The food was great, and the wine even better! Our tour guide Theodora enhanced the experience even more. She was engaging, personable, and knowledgeable. As we walked through the city she gave us great bits of information about various places, historical facts, etc…her knowledge of the food and wine was also on point. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, and they should be lucky enough to have the same guide we did!

Not worth it and didn’t get 5 stops as promised

Our two guide was really nice. But we were promised five stops and we only went to three and there was a lot of wasted time sitting around making up for it and obviously wasn’t worth the money. We thought would be more history given as we walked. We had three Florentine steaks we were shared Disproportionally. One man at one steak by himself (wife ate very little) while my 3 boys and husband ate off another. I shared with another older couple. I think the tour guide should have recognized this. My husband and boys were still hungry afterwords and we stopped for porchetta sandwich’s on the way home. Why weren’t traditional sandwiches part of the tour. We go a personal Charcuterie board (nice) the first stop, crostini (small and weak) second stop and the next door was a out main dinner with steak… not a real tour of anything.

We always enjoy a food tour of a city. This one did not disappoint. Our guide was friendly and informative and shared so much more about Florence than just the food. Do this on your first evening because it will help you get a feel for where to go from there.

Guide was great. Wine cellar and tastings were good. Samples where okay but DIDN'T GET the Florentine steak and the gelato was disappointing.

The whole tour! It was wonderful! There was a miscommunication about the specific meeting place on the actual day but was rescheduled for the next day. So we didn’t miss anything. To Coset, our guide, you owe me a cracker, LOL!
