Continue to the next foodie destination to try typical Florentine dishes and get the scoop on the ingredients, history, and preparation of each. Throughout the tour, you’ll see a combination of classic Florentine highlights and lesser-known destinations, walking past the Duomo, the Santa Croce Basilica, San Lorenzo Market, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Piazza della Signoria.

This was the highlight of our trip to Florence!! Our guide was knowledgeable, funny and enthusiastic. We learned a ton about the city and the culinary specialties of Florence. We returned to several of the shops again the next day. It is a ton of food. Definitely arrive hungry!!

Indoor street market tour with a few tastings

This was not the tour I expected. It was a walk through the indoor market of Florence, with a small number of stops to try merchant wares. In one hour, we tasted pasta, truffle oil/balsamic vinegar. I had hoped for more information about Florence and food and more carefully chosen tasting spots. The guide was very nice, but it didn’t teach us much about food in Florence, nor did it expose us to any hidden food treasures

We went to the meeting place earlier than required and waited 20 minutes past the meeting time We repeatedly called the contact number which just hung up after a few rings. We can get our money back but with only a few days in Florence, we can’t rebook or get that wasted Florence time back. So rude to not answer the contact phone or let me know the food tour that was booked long in advance was canceled. Very disappointing with this tour and company.

Organiser cancelled on us 2 hours before the tour

We received a WhatsApp message on the morning of the Trip to tell us it was cancelled. We were travelling from Milano to Florence for the food tour and so were very disappointed to hear this news. We haven’t been given a refund and no one has contacted us since the WhatsApp message despite me messaging again to ask where the refund is.

Do not book - horrible experience.

We booked a tour for 11:30 am a month in advance. This tour was canceled at 11:45 am AFTER we had been waiting at the meeting place since 11:15 am. We called the phone number provided over 10 times and no one picked up. I would definitely NOT recommend booking this tour — we had a limited amount of time in Florence and this wasted the entire morning and afternoon as we scrambled to find another tour. Horrible experience.

At my tour time I was told there was no record of my booking and there was no tour that day. They accepted payment though so they had to know something. A refund has been issued. If you book this make sure to confirm the tour.

Our food tour was wonderful, start to finish. Our knowledgeable guide met us at a convenient location, and she led us through a perfect blend of history and delicious, authentic food as we walked the city. The tour gave us the orientation we needed to better enjoy our stay in Florence.

Started in the San Lorenzo market where we Tasted several kinds of delicious hand made ravioli and then stopped in a shop for tastings of truffles, olive oil, aged balsamic vinegars and pistachio cream. (We picked up a bottle of 10-year old balsamic to take home.) Next we walked through the city stopping at interesting historical points including the Duomo. Final tastings included authentic stops for lasagna, eggplant parmesan and the best place for hand crafted gelato. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and this was a great way to see some Florence sites, learn about Florence and taste some authentic Italian food. We only had 4 people in our group so it was very personal tour. The meeting point was easy to find.

Alice was a passionate and delightful guide. We discovered first in Mercato Centrale, than in a nice restaurant what are the specific dishes of Florence and Tuscany. We finished with a great gelato.

We had a great time with Caterina and she was very thorough. Yummy ravioli, outstanding truffle olive oil, and delicious gelato! She shared what real Italians eat and why. Lots of walking so wear your walking shoes!
