    The meeting point is by the statue of Cosimo Ridolfi in Piazza Santo Spirito. The statue of Cosimo Ridolfi is located on the side of the square furthest away from the church "Basilica di Santo Spirito". So if you are standing with your back towards the facade of the church, across the entire square and you will see the statue.

Our guide, Lorenzo was amazing! All of the food was phenomenal! We loved the bread soup and the chianti cooked beef stew. Can't recommend this tour enough!

Nice culinary tour of Florence

I had searched for an in-home cooking class but there were none available in Florence. This was choice #2 -a culinary tour. We had a local guide who explained that the locals live on the opposite side of the Arno river so it was good to get a glimpse of life there. The restaurants were pretty good but did not compare to another culinary tour we had done in Venice so I give this one an average rating. The highlight was the gelato place which is highly regarded in Florence.

Our guide was fun and interesting and as a solo traveler it was great meeting and talking with others. We experienced places off the main tourist areas that we would never have found and all were excellent.

We had just arrived in Florence from Milan so we were tired, but my husband and I were so glad we went on this tour! Eris was our tour guide, and she was awesome! The wine shop/cellar was so interesting, and the meat/cheese/grilled veggies and wine were delicious! Eris was knowledgeable about everything and everywhere we went. The restaurant and dinner at the next site was wonderful ! Just such a fun excursion and met some very nice people over wonderful food and wine! Thank you Eris!

It is always nice to see how the locals live when you are visiting another place. Our guide, Alessia, took us to a local wine/spirits/delicacies shop where we went through their wine cellar which is generally not open to the public. Amazing. Then off to another place for more wine tasting and meat/cheese tasting. Next was an incredible three course dinner. I found a new love, Pappa al Pomodoro Soup... The night finished with Gelato of course. These were all places across the river where the residents of Florence actually live. We even went back to the local wine shop the next day and bought a case of wine. They will actually ship it back to your residence which was great. The biggest advantage of these food tours is that you would never find these great local places on your own. If you want to see how the people eat that live in Florence this tour is a must.

I found for a wine and food tour this was so so. We went to a wine shop with an amazing wine collection and the wine we tasted did not reflect this, even the tour guide said it was okay. the second wine bar we went to was better but still nothing special. Most of the food we tasted was good but again nothing special. The meal was by far the best part and the gelato was a nice finish. I would not recommend this tour.

I booked this because as a solo traveler I never get to try all the food I want to when visiting countries and cities. I didn't realize I was coming off a group trip that had some of the most amazing Tuscan food ever! I was tired after the group trip, and walked into a 1/2 day in Florence (ONLY!). Admit I wanted to just walk about the City until the sun went down, with no agenda. Felt obligated to go to this since I had bought it. The food was not as good as what I had been having the past 4 days, and being tired, I actually left before the last place/dessert.

This tour was fantastic! Our guide was so friendly and informational and we instantly felt warm to her! We had some really outstanding wine to begin with, then some charcuterie. Then we went to dinner with 3 courses and finished with gelato! All the food and wine was truly fantastic and we learned so much about the food culture in this region. I highly recommend it!

We were 2 couples from Canada and we had the best time on this small group dine around in Florence. We had a wonderful guide and she took us to the most amazing places for food tasting at outside different cafes/eateries and then ended up at a cool restaurant for the finale. The food at each place was excellent. Our guide gave us a lot of history on our walks and we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Highly recommend doing this if in Florence.
