Start your 4-hour tour with pickup at your hotel in St George's for the 6-mile (10-km) drive to Grand Etang National Park. As you leave Grenada's capital, watch out the window as the coast quickly gives way to the verdant jungle of the island's interior.
Arrive at the park's visitor center to learn about the history, animal and plant life of this national park. Continue on to azure waters of Grand Etang Lake, a body of fresh water in an extinct volcano. Located 1,800 feet (550 meters) above sea level, it's surprising to see that when you sprinkle fish food on the surface of the water, dozens of colorful fish zoom to the surface.
Stroll through the rainforest on a nature trail with your guide, learning about the species of trees and plants that thrive in the park, keeping an eye out for Mona monkeys (though not a guaranteed experience).
Back at the welcome center, sip a drink of your choosing (soda, beer, juice or rum punch) and visit the gift shop before boarding your vehicle to make the trip back to St George's.
On the way, stop at 30-foot (9-meter) Annandale Waterfall for a quick dip in the refreshing pool at the bottom. If you choose not to swim, use the time to explore the natural surroundings.
Your half day of exploring Grand Etang National Park ends with drop-off at your St George hotel.
