This is a great relaxing tour for those who are interested in seeing pottery/ceramic artists at work in some of the oldest and most established workshops in Vietnam. after a 30 mins moped ride to the outskirt of Hanoi, you will embark on a walking tour through the old pottery village. You will pass through quiet alley ways to get to a few different shops. Each shop specialized in particular products, anything from giant vases to small anime/comic inspired statues. You can pay one of the local villagers 40,000 vnd or so which is about 1.70, for a quick clay sculpting lesson and have a go at it. The village has a big market where you can buy cheap and beautiful handmade products to bring home. No bargaining necessary! You will also get a chance to see a vietnamese farmers market, ancient houses and temples, and a scenic view of the Hong river surrounded by rural communities.
