Your tour begins with pickup from your central Krakow hotel in time for a 9am departure. After meeting your guide and small group of up to 15 people, set out on the around 1-hour journey to Wadowice.
On arrival, follow your guide on a walking tour of the town and learn how it has become a popular place of pilgrimage, renowned as the hometown of Pope John Paul ll. Learn more about Pope John Paul II and his historic rise from Krakow archbishop Karol Wojtyla to the Vatican’s first non-Italian Pope, and hear about his life and work during his time as Pope. During your tour, visit his birthplace, see the site where he was baptized, and pass by his former school.
Continue to another important pilgrimage site — the monastery complex of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska — and spend time exploring the impressive UNESCO World Heritage site. Back in Krakow, stop at the Centre of John Paul II in Łagiewniki and visit the magnificent Archbishop’s Palace, with its famous Papal Window.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 3pm.
