So worth it!

Brilliant trip! Shout out to our tour guide Graeme, who told us a brief history about all locations visited but also allowed all the freedom to explore ourselves. I was a solo traveller (28yo female) and there were other solo travellers on the tour, and two of us ended up hiking together. We did the long hike to Marion’s Lookout, but both offer amazing views of Cradle Mountain. It is hard to get a bad photo. Would highly recommend! Plus the bakery and cheese factory stop we’re great!

This was a very good tour but weather was appalling, icy rain, freezing cold. However, once you are wet you are wet and I was never going to be here again so I made the most of it and did the dove lake tour which was beautiful but so so cold and wet. Graham did supply coats, hats and gloves which was very much appreciated as I would not have been able to leave the bus otherwise.

At Cradle Mountain, everyone got to choose which hike path they wanted to do. I went with the Marions Lookout followed by Dove Lake hike (it took us 4 hrs, including photo stops and a quick lunch break). The hike to Marions Lookout was fairly tough because it was most uphill and there were some incredibly steeps areas, but the view at the top made it all the worth it! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and was able to give us plenty of information along the trip. This is a great way to experience Cradle Mountain if you only have a day to do it!

A nice and well-organized tour. Because we visited in winter, they provided rain jacket, socks, hand gloves, and beanie for the participants. You need to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a walk. Saw few wombats, but unfortunately we couldn't see the peak due to heavy fog.

Refer to our BR700580258-R6D4AQN We only know that we were unable to go to Cradle Mountain on the day of the tour (29th May 2019 morning). As a reputable online TAS Tour Agency, you should inform us in advance and offer an option to us, rather then pushing us to other places of interest which are not our preferred choice. You are "fooling and cheating" the customers. As explained to the staff, Mr Lachlan of Visitor Information Centre, Northern Tasmania, that visiting Cradle Mountain is the main itinerary for the visitors coming to Tasmania. He confirmed that he had brought the issue and email to the tour operation manager on 30th May 2019 and he said the manager will contact us within 24hrs. If your company refuses to address our concerns and issues, then, no choice, we will file the report to the TAS tourism higher authority and also share our bad experience pertaining to our booking on the FACEBOOK and other social media.

Absolutely brilliant day out

I had a wonderful day up the mountain! Our guide from Tours Tasmania was knowledgeable and funny, and put a lot of effort into making sure we knew what was happening, taught us words in the local Indigenous tongue and all round was great! They also had spare beanies and rain jackets so we'd be prepared on the mountain. The mountain itself is wonderful. Absolutely recommend going, and climbing to Marion's Lookout if you're reasonably fit. One section was very steep and had a chain to assist you up the rocks. It was a little overcast at the top but still beautiful, the whole route was gorgeous. Also we saw Wombats. If you're quick do the lookout and the lake, but even just the walk around the lake was beautiful. NB: you need to pack your own lunch, but we also stopped at a cafe to pre-purchase before going up the mountain.
