A scenic 4-hour drive from Melbourne, Mt Buller is one of Victoria’s favorite winter wonderlands! Board a comfortable coach in Federation Square in the morning, and then relax on the journey through the Great Dividing Range to the base of the mountain. Covering more than 741 acres (300 hectares), Mt Buller features three different parks with varying levels of difficulty, from gentle beginner slopes to a rider cross course and steep black-diamond runs. (See Itinerary below for a description of the terrain parks.)
If you choose the beginner’s package at booking, you’ll start your day with a 2-hour group skiing or snowboarding lesson with a professional instructor. After learning some basics, test out your new moves with 3 hours of free time on the park’s beginner slopes. If you’re an experienced skier or snowboarder, enjoy unlimited runs on diverse, challenging terrain with a daylong lift ticket.
When you’re ready for a break, warm up and refuel with a meal at one of 30 cozy bars and restaurants at the Mt Buller village (own expense). From burgers to fine dining, there’s something for every taste. After 5 hours at the mountain, meet your driver back at the prearranged spot and rest up on the return drive to Melbourne.
