We are very sorry that you would not recommend the tour! The costs are clearly written in the tour description and are therefore no surprise.
That there may be additional costs is possible on any tour. You don't have to buy a poncho if you have an umbrella with you, you can bring your own drinks and that transportation up to the castle costs money is also in the tour description, because that is offered by completely independent companies! If you walk, it costs nothing. Now if you also bring your own food, apart from the castle entrance fees, you won't need an Euro!!!
Getting to the tours on time is everyone's responsibility! The tour guides see a completely new group every day. It is very difficult to quickly remember all the faces that belong in the group!
Regarding time management: so far the guests have always appreciated that they had enough time to have lunch, go to the Marienbrücke and then come to the castle entrance. We do not set the time for the castle entrance, we have to take what we are allotted by the castle! Since it is not always the same time, and also the traffic on the way back varies, the return to Munich varies between 19:00 and 19:45. Thus, the tour as described lasts about 10.5 hours, with a departure at 9 am!
