Take to the streets of Old Town Munich and Viktualienmarkt, a daily food market and square, to sample some of the most popular German foods. Taste Obatzda, a Bavarian cheese delicacy prepared by mixing aged soft cheese like Camembert with butter, paprika powder, salt, pepper and a small amount of beer. Also try Weisswurst, a traditional Bavarian sausage made from minced veal and pork back bacon and Knieküchle (also known as Auszogne, among other names), a traditional German fried dough pastry.
After some taste testing as an appetizer, enjoy lunch at a traditional Bavarian restaurant, featuring a Bavarian food platter with a selection of southern German sausages and much more.
