My wife and I went on this tour, with Lucy as out guide and Smiley as out driver. Very well organized! Lucy was great, she had a lot of knowledge and was also entertaining and funny which made the day even more enjoyable. Bus was air conditioned, it was a beautiful day and the palace and castle we're just gorgeous! So glad we did this! Smiley did a great job driving, to!

Such a wonderful day ! Highly recommend selecting the premium tour. Worth every penny. Definitely not a tour for those that are not fit. Tons of walking up hills and stairs. Had a very lovely day !

Walking around the castle and looking at the wonderful views. Liked the hike up to the castle. Josh our guide offered interesting stories. Liked that everything was on time and that there were only a few late comers.

These are relatively modern castles built in late 1800s, still quite impressive and worth a visit. It rained during most of our visit, not much we could do about that. Still, we managed to get decent photos. Note that taking photos is not allowed inside either of the castles. If rain is forecasted during your visit, bring good rain gear as there is not many places to get under while outside. The bus ride from Munich was very comfortable, the driver and tour guide were very friendly.

The tour guide, Jonathan, was great managing English, Spanish, Portuguese, and German when the translating system wasn't working on the bus. He kept everyone on time at the stops and was friendly and helpful. However, something needs to be done to make communication more easy with customers. We were running late and there was only a message board to contact - no phone number. We made it in time, but had no idea which bus to get on. There's no office at the location, which we spent time seeking. We finally went to the buses asking which one we were to be on. If there's no office at the location, this should be made clear when registering for a tour, as well as, how to proceed finding the correct bus. And contact should always have a phone number to call. I received no response to the message so I'm assuming that it's not checked regularly, so why bother having it.

History full day trip

Huge shoutout to Ursula!!! We took the VIP premium tour with her and what an experience it was. She spent the entire bus ride there giving us so much history and back story of Ludwig II, his life, his family, and his castles. It was truly fascinating. She continued to do this as we explored the grounds of both castles and gave us plenty of free time to take pictures and explore on our own. She does not do the tours inside the castles itself as those are done by those who work there but that doesn't make the trip any less great. The VIP tour itself was great as the bus is stocked with drinks, snacks, and an espresso bar. Would highly recommend this over the bigger tour with more people. We had approx 30 in our group and I still felt like we got more individualized attention.

The bus driver and the guide were fantastic. It was such a great day. Tour guide Monika had everything prepared and was very clear with her instructions. All the tours were fun. I rate it one less star because of the amount of up and downhill walking and really hard winding stairs in Neuschwanstein Castle.

Great tour. Loved seeing Linderhof Palace, Obergammerau, and Neuschwanstein. 4/5 stars because I wish we had had more time at each location, especially at Obergammerau. If the tour started at 7:30 am and was able to give more time at Obergammerau, I would have gladly gotten up earlier. 1 hour earlier departure time would give 15 extra minutes at Linderhof and 45 extra minutes at Obergammerau. This would have been awesome.
Picturesque Castles and a worthwhile tour!

This tour was well worth it! Being able to see the German countryside and Bavarian Alps made the drive very picturesque. The castles were the best I’ve seen, definitely go inside both! The main castle was being renovated however so not all rooms were open which was disappointing. Definitely go onto the bridge to get the most amazing viewpoint of the castle. The tour was organised very well and the stops in little towns were great too. The driver was smooth and the tour guide Jackie was very knowledgeable and friendly! However I’d say if you have/could rent a car you could do it yourself just as well as it does become quite a pricey day out since the castles, any food/drinks for the day is extra. But this tour is definitely the best alternative and will be a highlight of my trip to Europe.

We had a wonderful tour of the two castles! Monika was very knowledgeable on the Bavarian history. The sites are super pretty! However, be prepared for a lot of walking uphill at Neuschwanstein! Highly recommend!!
