Overview

In remembrance of the events that took place on September 11, 2001, take this 1.5-hour walking tour of Ground Zero and the National September 11 Memorial. Walk through the space of the former World Trade Center in New York City. A certified guide with a personal connection to the events of that day shares stories of tragedy and heroism. • Certified guided walking tour of Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial
  • Be captivated by first-hand stories of 9/11 from your guide, who has a personal connection with the event
  • Gain an understanding of the tragedy and heroism of that fateful day
  • Upgrade to add admission to the 9/11 Museum to see artifacts associated with the events of 9/11
This Ground Zero walking tour begins at St Paul's Chapel, aka the Little Chapel That Stood. St Paul’s is the oldest public building in New York City that’s still actively used. This church somehow survived the falling debris from the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center despite being only one block away from the melee. It became a kind of rescue center during the aftermath of the tragedy, and the iron fence that surrounds it became a place for family members to post notices about their missing loved ones.
As the tour continues, walk to the FDNY Memorial Wall and FDNY Ten House. Hear the heroic stories about the emergency responders on that day and see the fire station at Ground Zero.
Finally, enter the National September 11 Memorial, aka the 9/11 Memorial, a tribute of remembrance and honor to the almost 3,000 people who were killed on 9/11 — at the World Trade Center site, in the plane crash near Shanksville, Pa., and at the Pentagon — as well as the six people who were killed in the World Trade Center bombing in February 1993.
There are twin reflecting pools at the very spots where the Twin Towers once stood. Look up and see One World Trade Center’s Freedom Tower.
There is an optional upgrade to include entry into the National September 11 Museum — 110,000 square feet of exhibit space located at the heart of the World Trade Center site. The museum tells the story of 9/11 through multimedia displays, archives, narratives and a collection of artifacts. The lives of every victim of the 2001 and 1993 attacks are commemorated here.

Great tour. Tour guides were nice and informative. The tour really puts you there. Some walking outside but inside parts of the tour had escalators and elevators so dont feel you cannot take tour if you have a hard time climbing stairs like me
Excellent!

My wife and I decided to go to New York city to view the Freedom tower and 9/11 memorial, to make it easier to see everything we decided to buy a tour guided package. We were very happy with that decision as our tour guide was very knowledgeable and able to see and hear about the site. Oh and the weather was perfect!

Nick was the perfect tour guide as he was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, compassionate, and aware that most of the group was there for someone they knew. There was an immediate bond, as he lost his aunt in 911 as well.
Very good tour

This was an excellent tour and well worth the time while in NYC. Our tour guide had actually experienced 911 as he worked in the financial district.

Fantastic tour guide with awesome information. Best tour ever. Very interesting and points of interest were pointed out with so much enthusiasm for telling us. She ran over her time limit, but we wished she could go on and on. We can't say enough positive things about this tour and guide.

It was the worst walking tour I’ve ever had it was supposed to be an hour and a half and weld it up being less than an hour he did not go in to anything about a 911 he just told us the stuff when we heard on the news.
