Begin with pickup at your hotel in Hanoi, and drive to the outskirts of the city before starting the ride. Follow a guide along a scenic route to the Ngo Dong River, pedaling quiet roads past lush rice fields with views of limestone cliffs.
Trade your bicycle for a seat on a traditional sampan boat and travel along the Ngo Dong River, then duck out of the main current to explore a trio of natural caves: Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba. Continue to the base of the Perfume Pagoda, which sits at the top of steep cliffs in the Huong Tich Mountains. Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam, where archways and temples recall a thousand year-old royal seat, then board the sampan for the return trip down the Ngo Dong.
When the 2-hour boat ride concludes, keep cycling towards Tam Coc village, where you’ll pause for lunch in a local restaurant. After lunch, make the return trip to Hanoi by van, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
