Overview
An air tour is an ideal way to see the vast area of the Marlborough Sounds, much of which has no road access. Many visitors only see the relatively developed Queen Charlotte Sound, but on this tour by light aircraft you’ll fly above all four sounds. Be amazed by the views of mountains rising out of sunken river valleys, and even land at a remote, pristine beach in the outer sounds for 20 minutes.

Koromiko is 9ks south of Picton, follow signs to Picton Airport. Once you have turned onto Factory Road, cross the train tracks and follow the road until you see our signs, we are the last hanger on the right. You can park your vehicle outside our hanger otherwise there is a large carpark ahead.

Great Trip! The flight was smooth, the sites were plentiful. The Pilot, Chris, was great. He knows the area very well. The plane was spotless, Chris is a very good pilot and very professional. This ride was the Highlight of our cruise! All the passengers tried to explain to Chris that the price is too low. He just smiled.

What an amazing day!!! Although I was probably a bit hesitant when my husband chose this tour when we were planning our cruise stop in Picton, the great reviews convinced me that this would be the best choice for spending our time. And ARE WE EVER HAPPY WE CHOSE PELORUS AIR! This is a VERY reputable family-owned and operated business with years of experience. We were picked up right on time by Cliff (the father) and his son, Chris, made us feel very comfortable and safe. The views over the islands and the sound were AMAZING!!! Although it was an overcast day, we were not sure that we were going to be able to fly, but he assured us that he had already flown earlier that day and that we would have great views! AND WE DID! The ride was very smooth and beautiful! Having chosen a morning flight, we had the rest of our time to have a great lunch and explore the quaintness of Picton! Thank you, Cliff, Chris, and Mike for offering this #1 choice of things to do in Picton. We highly recommend it—you will not regret it!!!
Picton coastal beauty

The knowledge and experience of the pilot in showing the coastline made the view all the more spectacular and interesting.
The flight was the highlight of our cruise.
We got to see the beauty and ruggedness of that part of the New Zealand coastline.
A fellow passenger said the country was like the west coast of Scotland.

Fabulous trip landing uphill on the family airstrip and later taking off downhill.
Cliff and Chris are great Guys telling a great story of the area and their life in the area.

Plane was in great condition and well maintained. Chris was great, he explained where we were and what things were while flying. Landed on the grass landing strip on the family land. Met the majority of the family and it was spectacular. I would highly recommend this tour.
