Observe bioluminescent glowworms while you cruise during an island sunset. Cruise from Providenciales out to the Caicos Banks with an expert crew where, during each month's full moon, these natural wonders flash their neon green lights underwater. Ride in a glass-bottomed catamaran over shallow water while you enjoy light appetizers and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages and watch thousands of tiny creatures light up the sea.
  • 3-hour glow worm sunset cruise in Providenciales
  • Cruise aboard a power catamaran along the shallow waters of Caicos Banks
  • Search for the bioluminescent green light of glow worms after the sun sets
  • Marvel at plentiful marine life through the glass-bottom boat
  • Enjoy delicious snacks with your drink
Set out for the Caicos Banks, guided by an expert local captain and crew, while enjoying the evening sunlight or relaxing under the shaded canopy.
This one-of-a-kind experience leaves the marina approximately 30 minutes before one of Providenciales' famous island sunsets. Glowworms, or odontosylls enopla, perform a spectacular marine mating ritual every month under the light of the full moon. Float gently on the shallow water surrounded by several secluded cays, peering through the glass-bottom boat to see the female glow worms release their eggs, which give off pinpricks of neon green light. The males dart among the eggs to fertilize them, also glowing with the same pale bioluminescence. Enjoy complimentary wine, beer, rum punch, non-alcoholic beverages and light snacks as you watch nature in action for approximately 15–20 minutes. After the action subsides, you'll be returned to your hotel, having just experienced one of nature's natural phenomena.
Please note: The lunar cycle and other natural forces control the timing of the glow worm's mating ritual. Female glow worms generally release their eggs 2–3 days after the full moon, and the spawning process takes place on 2–3 evenings in row after that.

Wayne was great and excursion was wonderful. He and Reggie had good information about the tour. Safety info was good. Food and drinks were good.

The sunset was beautiful. We enjoyed the boat ride to our destination. The Glow worms were really cool to see in the water, but there were very few to see and only here and there one would pop up for us to see. It lasted only 6-8 minutes, we were happy to see it and glad we did the tour, I don't know if it was worth it cost wise, but it was something we enjoyed and hadn't seen before. I would recommend it if you like nature and like us we have been on many tours all over the world. We were looking for something different to do and this was unique.

Our family of five took this tour the first night of vacation. Best way to start vacation. Relaxing and beautiful with delicious appetizers and generous drinks dark and stormy a favorite!
Captain Wayne and first mate Reggie were terrific. Glow worms were very cool and watching stars on the sail back to hotel was incredible. We will definitely do it again.

This tour was awesome - they picked us up on the beach and we got to snack on fried food and it was lovely. We also saw some glow worms - which are amazing!

boat picked us up on time right on the beach. Friendly staff. Casual, fun trip.
Got to see the glow worms although I had thought there might be more in number. Still, very cool. And the stars in the sky were outrageous.
