Why Travelers Choose This Tour

A visit to the Secret Lagoon is a nice added perk to a fun-filled snowmobiling trip.
Begin with morning pickup from your Reykjavik hotel. Bring your bathing suit and towel if you can, and meet your guide and small group of no more than 10.
Then, settle inside your super truck, whose large tires are designed to negotiate challenging terrain. Relax into your spacious seat and enjoy the onboard WiFi and views as you set off into Iceland’s lava-sculpted countryside.
Along the way, listen as your driver-guide shares facts about the country’s volcanic geology, including background on the Langjökull glacier. Drive through the Geysir hot springs area, seeing the mud pools and water spouts from your window, and on arrival at Langjökull, don your provided thermal coverall, hat, gloves, and helmet.
Once you’re ready, hop on your 2-person snowmobile, and after driving and riding instructions, set off on your expedition. Follow your guide vehicle across the spectacular glacial landscapes, admiring the vast ice expanses around you.
Pick up speed as your confidence builds, and midway through, make a quick stop to take photos of the glacial wonderland and swap driving or passenger positions with the second person on your snowmobile.
After your ride, reboard your truck and head to one of south Iceland’s most popular restaurants for lunch. Savor the Icelandic dishes, which vary from season to season, but which are always delicious and energy-boosting.
Next, head for the village of Flúðir and visit the Secret Lagoon, a natural thermal spring surrounded by otherworldly scenery. Change into your bathing suit, or hire a towel and bathing suit here (own expense), and relax with a restorative soak in the warm, steam-clouded waters.
Finally, return to Reykjavik by super truck, where your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

Superb Fast Snowmobiling
, Mar 2019
Our guide was superb, looked after us well and the tour is worth the money. The car & tires were amazing! We felt special to be driven in that car. Our guide and later his helpers at the glacier put our health and safety above and beyond everything else. We recommend the tour if you are after something different, off beaten path, small group and wishing to see & admire the beauty that Mother Nature creates.

Tons of fun! Getting to the glacier was a surprising amount of fun. The modified SUV's and vans they use to get through the snow and ice are impressively capable. Our guide was great and helped us to get the most from our experience. Unfortunately, the day we went the conditions were poor for viewing so it wasn't really a great way to see Iceland, but it was a lot of fun. We stopped at several places along the way to break up the trip and see unique things about Iceland such as how they bake bread underground using geothermal heat. The secret lagoon was the perfect stop following the cold ride on the snowmobiles. I appreciated that the equipment that was provided was in good condition and made the cold conditions tolerable.

We had a wonderful day with Hranna our guide for the trip. First we were picked up at our hotel right on time, in a 4 x 4 big wheeled off road vehicle. There were only 3 of us doing this tour so we had a very pensonalised experience. We had a very interesting drive to a glacier with a Hranna giving us lots of info on the way also stopping to show us some hot springs and explain a bit about them. The snowmobiling was excellent the secenery spectacular. After snowmoiling we went for some lunch at a great local pizza resturaunt. On the way Hranna stopped at a horse ridding farm to let us see and photograph the Iceland ponies. We then went to a secret thermal lagoon where we spent a leisurley hour in the water. Then back to our hotel via a different route, so more intersting scenery. All in all a big day but wonderful thanks to our excellent guide.

I nearly didn't book this trip as it was very expensive for 2 adults and 2 teenagers but it was worth every penny. We had a private tour as the other 5 people had to cancel last minute. The guides were great and the journey to the glacier was breathtaking. The highlight of the day was the snowmobiling. We were the first group on the glacier and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. It was an absolutely amazing experience. The guide rang the small restaurant to let them know we were on the way, so freshly prepared pizzas were ready as soon as we arrived. They were delicious! We then went to the Secret Lagoon which was lovely and relaxing. I would definitely recommend this tour. We saw some fantastic sights during the other tours of Iceland- we were even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights but snowmobiling on the glacier was the highlight of our holiday!
