Skip the line:Vatican Tour

A real must for any trip to Rome. Definitely easier with skip the line and our guide, Rita, was excellent. A depth of knowledge imparted in a very engaging way, coupled with concern and empathy for the people in her group.
Awesome tour

Guide was very knowledgeable about every area we saw. Well worth the money. Can't imagine a better tour for the price.
Juliann was great!!!

My girlfriend and I thought Juliann was superb amongst all the hurdles and toxic elements that were presented that day. First of all, the weather was sweltering hot and the mass of people and tourists did not help (we think the Vatican should limit folks in, it felt unsafe being amongt the throngs of people, it felt like a meat market). Secondly, there were a few toxic people in our tour group and Juliann handled them with aplomb being nice and calm even though those individuals were rude and impatient. So I admired Juliann's relaxed way that he handled himself. He was also very informative and showed real love and care for his group. Would recommend him anytime. As though the scheduling of such a packed event, that is where we take a star off for the company not our beloved tour guide, he rescued the tour.

I was expecting 10 - 12 people there were 29 and the guide had a very strong accent - hard to understand her English Not what I expected for 80 Euro each
Awful. Just awful

While visiting the Vatican is a must do it is important to note that the crowds are unbelievable in July. You can barely move and see anything. This tour in particular was awful. Our guide seemed to move along at her own pace regardless of the crowds. She paused for extended times to talk which often put us back in the middle of the crowds rather than trying to manage the walking and talking to keep us out of it. The headsets she gave us had technical problems and one of them needed to be replaced twice. Our tour ran well over time due to both the crowds and her lack of management. We completed about 8/9 tours while in Italy and this was the worst. We had heard (from others upon arrival) that this tour company was not recommended and we would agree. Select another vendor
Too big a group

Unfortunately we had quite a disappointing trip to the Vatican. Just far too many people and you get herded along like cattle hardly catching your breath to take in all of the beautiful paintings Our group in my opinion was too large and whilst our guides level of English was good we could hardly understand what she was telling us. Very easy to lose the group as just far to many people Absolutely amazing building though. The architecture is unbelievable
Charming Guide

I wish I could remember his name, but we had a really charming and funny guide that made this tour a lot of fun. As always, there is always so much to see and not enough time, but he did a great job of hitting the highlights so that we felt we had received a good overview of the locations.
Hard to Enjoy This Tour

I was disappointed in this tour despite the amazing artifacts and art we got to see and hear about. Perhaps it was the 90 degree afternoon heat or the fact that we had a very large group to guide through the museum, chapel & church or the sheer number of tourists crowding the area in June but it was hard to take everything in and appreciate it. It was sometimes hard to hear the guide through the headset and my husband's headset battery died only about 45 minutes into the several hour tour. He was very knowledgable but I was surprised that he spent a good 20-30 minutes of the tour explaining about the Sistine Chapel from laminated pictures out on the back terrace before we even really got started seeing anything. I want to just start moving and seeing the place, not stand and listen to a lecture from posters! And the whole "skip-the-line" thing is a misnomer as there was still a lot of gathering to begin, standing in line with the other "skip-the-line" tour groups, going to the bathrooms and shuffling slowly thru the museum halls and standing room only in the Sistine Chapel. Granted, this was still faster than those who stood in line to get in without a tour but not a quick bypass. I would maybe suggest this in the off-season.
Terrible guide

Great Place, Fine Tour, Huge Crowds

It’s a bit of a misnomer since you do have to get in line to get checked in with the guide first. However when we saw the actual line to get in for those who didn’t do “skip the line,” it made sense. Our guide was adequate but not personable. He seemed a bit bored. The crowds were so big we felt like cattle being herded through the museums and churches (not the guide’s fault, obviously). The ear pieces he gave us to hear his commentary were not the best- lots of static and they cut in and out. The guide shrugged when someone told him and just kept going. The place is a must see, the tour experience was so-so.
