Explore three villages in Cinque Terre
Travel by air-conditioned vehicle, train, and ferry
Make your way to a central location in San Gimignano for a 6:30am departure, then board a climate-controlled vehicle for the 105-mile (169-km) trip to Porto Venere, passing through rolling Tuscan scenery along the way.
Though not technically included in Cinque Terre, Porto Venere has the same picture-perfect waterfront of colorful houses, and it’s the starting point for exploring further. Throughout your day in Cinque Terre, you’ll travel by both train and ferry boat, stopping to discover a series of three gorgeous villages.
In the vineyard-decked town of Manarola, take in Genoese-style fortified buildings that tower over the dramatic coast, and listen for the sounds of the town’s distinctive local dialect.
The next stop is teeny Vernazza, a cluster of cobblestone streets and cafes around a pretty harbor. From Vernazza, continue to Monterosso, a historic fishing-village turned coastal escape that's famed for its lemon trees. You’ll have time for lunch on your own before a visit to a local wine shop to taste limoncino, a liqueur made from locally-harvested lemons.
Enjoy some free time in the afternoon to stroll the village or swim from the sandy beach, then meet back up for the return trip to San Gimignano, where this tour concludes at the original departure point.
This tour was fantastic even if the bus was very very full, two stories, the guides Lizia and Violleta, did an amazing job, very warm and funny and explained everything very well,Cinque Terre is a beautiful place to visit not to miss thank you
The only problem we would have liked to know that the two tours we booked, departed from Florence and we were in San Gimignano,it took two hours going and coming back to get to check point, we would not have taken them from SG but from Florence where we were heading a bit later for a few days, this was missing information on the booking site,
