Head to San Juan’s Caribe Hilton in the morning, picking from a range of departure options that works with your schedule. You’ll meet your guides for the day, receive your necessary equipment and get a quick pre-trip briefing on underwater safety measures and hand signals.
You’ll then head to the hotel’s beach along a shallow cove, offering the perfect setting for beginners who can choose how far they want to venture along the underwater area’s gradually deepening bottom. You'll breath via a underwater tube attached to an apparatus floating up at the surface. Rest assured that the trip will be catered to the experience and comfort level of each guest.
The actual ‘dive’ portion of the trip typically lasts for 30 to 45 minutes, during which you’ll follow your guide as you search for marine life like starfish, octopus, squid, and sea urchins. During some portions of the year, you may even view seahorses and marine slugs. Souvenir photos will be taken during your underwater adventure, which can be purchased for an extra fee at the end of the trip.
When you come back to the surface, enjoy a short debrief session with your guides, during which you can discuss the marine life you saw during the excursion and review the photos taken underwater. Changing rooms, bathrooms and showers are available for tour guests when they return. You’ll end your trip here in the hotel.
