Overview

Santorini wine and food — all in one half-day tour. After sampling local wine at two Santorini wineries, you’ll meet a local chef for a Greek cooking class. Prepare classics such as an authentic Greek salad and caramelized pork, and learn about Santorini’s cuisine as you cook. This small-group tour runs with just eight people for a personalized experience.
  • Visit two Santorini wineries and learn about volcanic viticulture from a guide
  • Sample up to eight different glasses of wine including assytriko and nykteri
  • Learn how to cook some of Santorini’s signature dishes
  • Small-group tour with a maximum of eight ensures personalized attention
Starter
Greek salad, Santorini version (vegetarian)
Tomato-fritters (traditional Santorini appetizer, vegetarian)
Main
Local pork fillet on sweet "Vinsanto" wine sauce (signature Santorini dish)*
Dessert
4. Dessert of the day (Santorini homemade)
After a hotel pickup, chat with your guide about the island’s cuisine and travel to your first stop. Hear about the wine and the island’s characteristic volcanic soil — known as aspa — that helps produce wine with abundant mineral flavors and light notes.

Stop at a volcanic winery to sample your first glasses of wine, and then continue to the second winery of the day to learn about the different varietals produced on the island: assyrtiko, nykteri and vinsanto.

From there, it’s on to your cooking class. Under the watchful eye of your chef, help prepare a feast of local dishes. What you cook is decided on the day, but you can expect classics such as a tomato-flavored fritters, traditional Greek salad, and pork fillet caramelized with the sweet vinsanto wine.

When your food is ready, sit down to eat. Help yourself to wine to complement your creations, and finish with a glass of vinsanto to end your meal in the local way. With your take-home recipes in hand, you’ll then return to your vehicle and finish with a hotel drop-off.

This was an incredible tour, a highlight of our honeymoon and hands down the best wine tour we have ever been on in the US and Europe. Cooking class was very fun, and the food was delicious and plentiful. We cannot say enough good things about this tour.

We have never learned so much on a wine tour while having an amazing time. Aggelos was our tour guide & he was very knowledgeable & made our group bond & have a great time together. We didn't know anyone else but after a few glasses of wine & plenty of laughs, we felt like we have all known each other for years. This tour is a great way to see the wineries of Santorini & learn about Greek food also. The views are spectacular & the wine is some of the best!

Our driver Anton turned out to be a sommelier and was incredibly informative and passionate. We learned so much about wine and how to appreciate it that made the tour experience far exceed expectations. The chef Talia was a cute young lady with a lot of energy. This tour was absolutely one of the best we have booked anywhere.

Stephanos our guide picked us up near our hotel exactly at the arranged hour and took us on a tour of some of the Santorini wineries displaying his encyclopedic knowledge of the wine world at every turn. The cooking class itself was great fun and we brought home new recipes that will become part of our mealtime repertoire. The group itself was eight in number, with members from the US, Germany, Denmark, and Finland, all agreeable sorts that quickly became new friends. Overall a great experience and worth the price of admission.

Wonderful experience! We enjoyed the tour guide, the small group 4 couples altogether, the chance to learn about Greece's viticulture, and the great tasting experience at Boutari Winery. We made Greek Santorini salad, tomato fritters, fava, and pork fillet in vinsanto sauce, and ate a leisurely meal afterward. The tour was 6 hours long and it was well worth the time. I would do this tour again!
