This full-day canoe tour of Phang Nga Bay sea caves and islands departs your hotel in Phuket around noon. On arrival, board a motorized vessel for a 1-hour cruise into the bay. After a light snack lunch and a welcome briefing, hop into a canoe led by your guide and embark on a paddling excursion to your first cave. You'll pass by plenty of boats on their return trip, leaving you to experience the tranquility of nature at the caves (called hongs in Thai) without the morning crowds.
Spend the afternoon discovering at least four cave systems, with free time for swimming if weather allows. Learn about the marine life, limestone formations, and ecosystem of the bay before a sunset viewing. Once darkness falls, you'll return to a cave you visited earlier in the day to float in the silent cavern, made more dramatic under starlight.
Then return to the main vessel for a Thai-style seafood buffet dinner. Dessert is served on the moon deck, where your guide points out the constellations before you venture back to shore and return to your hotel in Phuket.
