Receive a morning pickup from your Srinagar hotel, after which you’ll begin your excursion along the banks of the city’s Jhelum River. You’ll continue from there to your first stop at Khanqah of Shah-i-Hamadan, a mosque built in the 14th century. Follow your visit by proceeding to Pather Masjid, another mosque constructed in 1623 by Noor Jahan known for its nine horizontally-oriented arches. Then see a different side to Srinagar culture by heading to the Maharaj Gunj Spice Bazaar, where you can bargain for souvenirs like wood carvings, carpets, pashmina shawls, engraved metal objects, and more. Continue from the bazaar to check out the octagonal dome of the tomb of Zain-ul-Abidin's mother and then on to the mosque of Jamia Masjid. This model of Indo-Saracenic architecture is famous for its striking courtyard and 370 wooden pillars carved from the trunk of a single tree. Head next to the 17th-century Naqshband Sahab shrine built from layers of brick and wood, and then check out the Madin Sahab shrine, a religious site designed in the Kashmiri style in the 15th century. You’ll continue to Ali Masjid, another ancient shrine, and then to Hari Parbat Fort, offering great views of the city. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel at the end of the excursion.
