Very informative and interesting. Well worth it! Liam our tour guide was amazing. Got to see the changing of the guards at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier, JFK’s eternal flame, and several other points of interest. Highly recommend.
Our tour guide Liam was awesome! He is extremely knowledgeable and shows you places other tours will never go! If you want a memorable tour -- ask for Liam! He put us in the right spot to see the changing of the guards and shared his experiences with the group! Wear comfy shoes as we covered a lot of ground! Taking the Metro to and from DC was so easy as well!!! Lines once you arrive goes quickly!!! A must see when visiting DC!!! Thank you for the great experience!!!
Our tour guide was very informative. he took us to the best location to watch the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I felt like he gave us a little more behind the scenes information and my 12 year old enjoyed it very much. I would recommend this tour.
Very informative and knowledgeable tour. Tour guide was excellent (I believe his name was Liam, but he had no name tag and never introduced himself) . Everything else about tour was very good. We saw all the famous grave sites and were told interesting stories about each one. Also, the changing of the guard ceremony excellent to see.
An excellent 2 hour tour - our guide Liam was very knowledgeable, personable and answered all our questions. He shared many interesting facts which made the tour interesting. He paced the tour for the slowest walker so no one was left behind. He knew exactly the right spot for us to watch the changing of the guard, away from the main crowd - thanks Liam!
We scheduled the 8 AM tour because of concerns about heat and age of one member of our group. Security does not allow entry into visitor parking until 8, so drop off others in your party to meet with the tour group before you park! We parked, caught up to Liam and the group and had a great morning at Arlington. Liam was easy to hear, understand and provided a terrific oral history of heroes in Arlington National Cemetery.
I remember you guys well! It was a pleasure having your family aboard. You are right about the parking lot, and good advice, as even I deal with this every 8 am tour as a guide. I remember your group made their way in and found me along the way, but I would also add for anyone reading this, feel free to contact us at the number on your voucher, which will usually go straight to your guides phone.
I am glad you enjoyed your tour!
This tour is amazing. Our guide Liam was fantastic. He is very knowledgable and will answer all of the questions that you have. He is a wealth of information. You meet inside the main building and starts off with the Changing of the Guards. Listen to all of his tips in regards to this event. It is a walking tour so bring comfortable shoes.
I am sorry you were not able to find your guide. We do meet at the Main Gates of Arlington National Cemetery (and as of June 2019 we meet inside the visitor center by the statue of a bulge player). While many of the staff at Arlington are familiar with us, as a private tour unaffiliated with the cemetery, security staff are not responsible for being familiar with every tour that comes through Arlington, as there are hundreds of companies that pass through these gates.
While we gear our meeting locations towards what is easiest and least confusing for our guests, and give detailed directions on our booking vouchers, we also understand that sometimes unfamiliar places can be confusing, especially with 10,000 people a day visiting the location. Therefore, we ask that every booking have accurate contact information as our guides will call and text guests that are missing when meeting for the tour. Also, every voucher has a contact number that goes straight to the guide when called on day of tour. Did you try reaching out to us?
