Aquafan Tours

Less than an hour from Buenos Aires, Aquafan is one of the largest water parks in Argentina. With more than 17 different rides and activities, the park has something to keep the whole family entertained, from daring water slides to palm-fringed swimming pools.
The Basics
Admission tickets to Aquafan offer full-day access to all of the park’s attractions. If you’re a thrill-seeker, get your adrenaline pumping on the 105-foot (32-meter) Abyss slide, make a splash in the wave pool, or take a ride on the zipline. There are also numerous different pools, Jacuzzis, a huge water playground, and mini slides for younger kids.
Things to Know Before You Go
How to Get There
Aquafan is located on the waterfront in Tigre, about 20 miles (50 kilometers) north of Buenos Aires. Regular trains run from Buenos Aires’ central station to Tigre and take 45 minutes. Alternatively, arrive by boat from the Puerto Madero docks, which are open over summer. From Tigre train station, it’s a 10-minute walk to the park.
When to Get There
The water park is open from December through March, Tuesday to Sunday, 11am-7:30pm. The park can get extremely busy on sunny weekends, when it’s advisable to arrive early if you want to secure a sunbed.
Family Fun in Tigre
Tigre makes a popular getaway from Buenos Aires, especially during the summer months. As well as cooling off at the Aquafan water park, families can enjoy a fun-filled day out at the Parque de la Costa amusement park, take a scenic cruise around the Tigre Delta, browse stalls at the daily crafts market, or enjoy kayaking and other water sports on the river.
