You can wear Kimono from the beginning of the lecture and learning the fascinating ritual from scratch, this plan offers rewarding opportunities to gain atmospheric insight into the Japanese culture roots. Immerse yourself in the Tea Ceremony world in a group of six, and delight in a Matcha Tea Ceremony.
Join us in Saijo to visit 4-6 historic sake breweries and enjoy local lunch & snacks, with an English speaking local. We will take a stroll through the historic streets going from brewery to brewery to enjoy samples of local sake.
Our tour begins with a tasting and sake explanation at a representative brewery of Hiroshima Sake. We will learn about the brewing process (Please note: that the sake brewing process is not available to the public in Japan due to sanitary and health inspection regulations.)
Then, we will head off to try a local specialty hot-pot dish made with premium sake, and other tasting plates made with local ingredients (hot-pot must be ordered in advance so please no last-minute bookings are possible, but we may have an alternate lunch menu). After lunch, stroll the picturesque streets and go brewery hopping. At each brewery, we will be able to sample different kinds of sake. Visit a local cafe and enjoy sweets and a snack break inspired by Japanese Sake.
Learn all about the Japanese art of sake making in one of the largest sake-producing areas in the country. In the company of a guide, walk along Sake Brewery Street in Saojo and visit breweries to learn about (and sample) their products.

The second floor of the building is a atelier of yuzen artists. Yuzen is a Japanese dyeing technique for fabrics with hand-painted patterns and it was first invented in Kyoto. Kimonos made in Kyoto are sent to this workshop to be hand-painted since there are few yuzen artists all over Japan. Through this experience you will appreciate traditional yuzen patterns and vibrant colors.
