How to Spend 2 Days in Macau

With two days in Macau, you have time to soak up the historic city center, marvel at modern attractions, wander Macau’s Portuguese villages, and see its Vegas-style shows. Here’s how to make the most of your 48 hours in Macau.

Day 1: City Essentials

**Morning:**Kick off your 2-day trip with a guided tour of Macau’s historic city center. Climb the steps of St. Paul, tour the A-Ma Temple (likely the city’s oldest Buddhist temple), and walk the last remaining section of the Old City Walls, dating back to the 16th century. This cultural heritage is alive and well on the Cotai strip, particularly in the villages of Coloane and Taipa. Walk the cobbled streets, have lunch in a Portuguese restaurant, or go for a swim at one of two public beaches.

**Afternoon:**After exploring Macau’s colonial past, step into the present at Macau Tower, the tallest building in Macau. Soak up the 360-degree views from the observation deck or choose a more adventurous option, like an outdoor Skywalk or bungee jump—the highest commercial bungee jump in the world at 764 feet (233 meters).
