Wonderful Walking Tour

Our guide, Hugo, was very informative and took us to several locations in Antigua, giving us a detailed lesson on the history of the locations. Since we were staying at a hotel near La Mercad, he agreed to visit us there to start the walking tour. I was with my elderly father who had a difficult time walking too far in the heat, so our guide altered the tour a bit for him and also hailed a tuk-tuk to take us to one of the further locations. He also was very mindful of any trip hazards on the sidewalks and the buildings where we went. He took us into a hotel that included ruins of the convent and a church. At the end of the tour, he took us to a restaurant where he knew the owners and made sure that they would give us a discount on the food. A couple days later we ran into Hugo on the street and he stopped to talk to us and ensure we were still having a great time in Antigua.
