The tour starts in front of Palau Güell, where you will meet your private guide and start visiting the palace.
Antoni Gaudí designed Palau Güell for the industrial tycoon Eusebi Güelland and it was built between 1885 and 1889. This is one of Gaudí’s works that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. One important characteristic of this building is the presence of parabolic arches on the facade, which became a constant element of Gaudí’s architecture.
The tour continues in the museum dedicated to the very famous Spanish artist: Pablo Picasso. Museo Picasso is one of the most famous museums in Barcelona and it is hosted by five medieval buildings joined together, in La Ribera quarter. This is the museum with the highest number of his artworks, a total of 4249. Among the most famous paintings, you will find the 58 paintings series of 1957 representing “Las Meninas”.
Continuing walking on Passeig de Gracia you will admire from outside the Casa Mila. It is also called La Pedrera, which means "stone quarry" because of its aspect: Gaudí built it with rough stone, to give the impression of a rocky and wavy building.
Your tour will end with the Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí's famous unfinished cathedral, which is one of the most beautiful and amazing monuments of the city. You will admire it from the outside and discover the beautiful details of the interior.

One of our main reasons for visiting Barcelona was the art and architecture, particularly of Picasso & Gaudi. We were not disappointed. We began our tour at the Picasso Museum with our personal guide, Gemma. We were so impressed by this young woman. Her depth of knowledge and understanding of the work of Picasso and Gaudi is exceptional. Her in-depth answers to our questions about the history and culture of Catalonia during our walk through the maze of lanes in the Gothic quarter provided a context to and understanding of the Barcelona/Catalonia of today. Our tour concluded at Sagrada Familia. "Breathtaking" and "deeply emotional" are inadequate words to describe the experience. Gemma's knowledge and understanding of Gaudi and those artists who continue work on the cathedral is exceptional. It was a delight to share her sensitivity to the power and emotion the cathedral holds. This was a highlight of our time in Barcelona.
