Hands on chocolate workshop with a chocolate connoisseur
Greet your guide at a central location in Brussels then set out on your tour of the city. Combine culture with cuisine as you stroll to historic highlights like Grand Place, a former market square, and art nouveau architecture. Browse the window displays of antique shops on Jeanneken Pis and venture inside the oldest chocolate shop in the country to taste Belgian pralines.
Stop intermittently for samples in established chocolate shops, trying specialties like Easter eggs and delicate truffles filled with creamy alcoholic liqueurs. Conclude your epicurean excursion with a chocolate-making workshop in which the complex production processes are revealed.
Under the guidance of a connoisseur, create your own flavor combinations then enjoy the fruits of your labor after you’ve completed them. After your tour of culture and cuisine, bid your guide farewell at another central city location.
This was a really great tour because our group size was small enough to make it feel very personal. We got to walk around the streets of Brussels, learning about some of the history and stopping at some of the more interesting sites. Obviously the chocolate was the star of this tour and it did not disappoint but I loved all the other suggestions our guide provided on the tour as well.
We join Karla's tour, who is super knowledge with all aspects of chocolate. We learned so much from her in few hours considering I am working for a candy/chocolate company. Not only we got to sample different grades of chocolate; touring many parts of the cities; but also learned and made our own batch of chocolates. I highly recommend joining this tour.
We love chocolate but had no idea how wonderful it is until our chocolate tour in Brussels. Our guide Mark was fun and knowledgeable about chocolate and Brussels history. The workshop was fantastic. So much chocolate so little time! Don't miss this!
Hey :) Glad you enjoyed the activity with us! In case you took pictures during the chocolate workshop activity, you might find them on our FB page (brusselschocolatetourandworkshop). We'd love to see your pics as well :) Hope to see you again soon!
Karla was very knowledgeable and friendly. The walking tour included not only information about Belgian chocolate, but a great deal of information about the city of Brussels too. A great walking tour, highly recommended.
Our tour ended up being a private tour as it was only the two of us who had booked for that day & time -- AWESOME!! As such, we had a much more personal & intimate experience with our tour guide. Sandra was kind, patient, & knowledgeable. It was fun to practice my French with her. We had many samples of fine chocolates from a number of chocolateries -- a dream come true for a bona fide chocoholic like myself!!!
This was such a fun and interesting tour. The workshop was a lot of fun, the chocolate was delicious, and in between stores it was fun to learn more about some of the famous Brussels sites we were passing. The tour guide we had was funny and very sweet. She was very accommodating of myself as I have a disability and needed some extra assistance. Highly recommend doing this tour but don't plan a nice meal afterwards because all the chocolate will ruin you lunch/dinner!
I did this Tour with 2 of my grandchildren (10 year old boy and 13 year old girl) and we all loved every moment as the Tour and Workshop is very well put together and presented with much knowledge of the chocolate industry as a whole. Definitely worth it!
This was a fantastic experience for me and my wife. We received not only a chocolate tour, but also an education on the city of Brussels (we were also lucky to see the start of this years Tour de France!). The workshop was both fun and informative and we had a wonderful time! Recommend highly!
