Meet your guide in central Brussels in time for an 8.30am departure and relax aboard the tour bus on the around 1-hour 15-minute journey to Bruges.
On arrival, set out to explore the UNESCO-listed city on a guided tour and visit sights including: the Lake of Love, the Begijnhof, Walplein Square, the Stoofstraat, Old St. John’s Hospital, the Church of Our Lady, the Gruuthuse Palace, the Dijver Canal, Rozenhoedkaai, Tanners Square (Huidenvettersplein), the Castle Square with its Gothic Town Hall, the Basilica of the Holy Blood, the Market Square (Grote Markt) with its Bell Tower (Belfort) and, finally, St Salvator’s Cathedral.
At the end of the tour, you will have around an hour of free time to enjoy lunch (own expense) or shop for souvenirs.
In the afternoon, continue to Ghent, where you’ll have time to explore the city both with and without your guide. Along the way, see the Castle of Gerald the Devil, the Castle of the Counts of Flanders, and the Belfort bell tower; admire the Van Eyck painting ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’ in Saint Bavo's Cathedral; and visit the Great Butchers’ Hall, the Old Fish Market, and the Friday Market Square.
After returning to Brussels your tour ends back in the city center.
