The Hungarian Parliament Building, built between 1885 and 1902, currently boasts 691 rooms and staircases stretching for more than 12 miles (20 kilometers). Its regal exterior has become an iconic site in the city’s panorama and the interior hosts the Holy Crown of Hungary.
After being picked up from your hotel, you'll begin the tour inside the neo-Gothic architecture of the Parliament building. Your guide will lead you through the Session Room, the central staircase and the Great Vaulted Hall. You’ll have the opportunity to ask your guide questions as you travel from room to room and learn more about the country’s rich history.
After your tour of Parliament, you’ll take a load off your feet and hop back into the car, crossing over the Danube via Margaret Bridge. Your guide will drive to the Buda side of the city, where the Royal Castle sits. Here you’ll have the opportunity to admire the views from Fishermen's Bastion and see the interior of Matthias Church.
After stopping for pictures at the Citadel, you'll cross back over to Pest on the Elisabeth Bridge and drive to Heroes' Square, situated next to Budapest’s beloved City Park. Before the tour concludes at the Hotel Intercontinental, you’ll make your last stops by the Hungarian Opera House and the impressive St. Stephen's Basilica.
