Chose the tour guide wisely

Our tour guide was almost 2hrs late which caused us to miss out on the whale watching. To add insult to inquiry he tried to fool us into thinking the boat ride was not apart of the excursion. He promised to reimburse us for the whale watching. We still have not heard anything.

Dear ladies. My apologies for not responding earlier as I was in touch with trip advisor about the issue. They informed me a new person was appointed to deal with Africa and the new contact person will be in touch-this happened in the mean time.. However, I want to express my sincerest apologies again for your discomfort as I was indeed 2 hours late due to the fact that the complete Cape Town was sealed off for the the Cape Town Marathon in which about 10 000 runners took place - this I relayed 3 times to your hotel while driving there and they assured me the message was passed on which you confirmed when we met. I also checked your booking done by your booking agent again under the product code Tripadvisor/Viator 13243P8 - Ref BR 730399700 of which I have a copyI where it clearly states all the inclusions: it was "rock whale watching" and not boat whale watching. As you will recall I called three boat operators while driving to try to arrange boat watching for which I was prepared to pay- unfortunately the trips were called off due to bad weather. I am very glad that we could do the complete tour arriving in Cape Town at 18h30 visiting the African Penguin colony at Stoney Point, allowed some 2 hours + for rock whale watching in Hermanus (I spotted about 5 from where I was sitting) although one of the ladies did not see any whales as she was doing craft market shopping - I am willing to send you pictures of the whales and of 100's of tourist watching in awe as they breached and wag tailed.. I am also very happy that you could enjoy the excellent wines of the beautiful Summer ridge wines in Hemel and Aarde valley as well as spotting the Blue Cranes twice on our way back. Again my humblest apologies and I would really advise you to contact your booking agent who misinformed you about the contents of the tour.I fully understand your frustration. Will gladly offer you a complimentary tour should you visit Cape Town again.
