Ride a 4x4 buggy through the Dominican countryside, then board a catamaran to explore the azure waters during this 7-hour combination tour from Punta Cana. Stop at an country farm to see how chocolate, cinnamon and coffee are harvested and processed, then continue to the white sand Macao Beach. Board a double-Decker catamaran to cruise the turquoise waters offshore. Don the provided snorkel equipment and jump in to swim with schools of tropical fish. Please note: it is recommended to schedule these activities on two separate days.
Enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city
Transportation to and from was sufficient. Check in was a bit chaotic but didn't take long. The actual trip was disappointing. The beach that the trip goes to is beautiful but there are people there trying to sell stuff so you couldn't enjoy just hanging out. I wouldn't recommend this trip
Age 27. Do the trip in two days, for energy purposes. The buggie we got was structurally sound but mechanically poor, it broke down a few times before they gave us a better functioning one. The buggy breaking down honestly made it a better experience. Ended up having a semi private buggy excursion compared to 120people bumper to bumper. The catamaran part was very structured if you like structured tours. Also were did not get a catamaran because of traffic I think, we had two tiered speed boat. Huge disappointment for me. That's all.
My group chose to divide the excursion up into a 2 day event. We did the Dune Buggy part first. It was just OK. In our session, we had about 25 ATV/UTVs, very large group, perhaps too large. It wasn't all that fun like the photo shows. We were expecting to drive on the beach, get drenched in mud, spend time in the water, drive in the beach thru the water (like the photo). We did not get to do any of that. Instead we drove to the beach, where we were bombarded with people trying to sell us stuff. Splitting us apart from from each other to try to get us to give them money. After we spent maybe 15 minutes there before we were rushed back to our "Dune Buggies" aka Honda Pioneer UTVs to go to the next spot only to be rushed away from there, and so on. Not a very good first half.
HOWEVER, we did the catamaran cruise the next day, and we had so much fun. The crew on our boat were very fun to be around. Serving drinks, fresh fruit, dancing. All of that on and off the boat and making us feel like we were family. We had so much fun on the catamaran. The crew on board made the 2nd half of the trip worth it. I would try to skip the Dune Buggies, and go straight to the Catamaran Cruise.
Amazing tour highly recommend we did it all in one day but would recommend it to do it over 2 days but overall it was really fun. Catamaran cruise was very entertaining, there is a bar where you can drink all you like. All the guides are very friendly too.
The Catamaran Cruise was sooo much fun, definetly worth every penny. The crew is really attentive and fun going, they take care of everyone with snorkoling and make sure we're all having a blast. Loved my time here with ocean park!!
The catamaran cruise was hands down our favorite experience from our trip to Punta Cana! The guides Mickey and Alexander were absolutely WONDERFUL and made sure that everyone had a great time! The coral reef was stunning, this fish were so colorful and swam right up to you, and my boyfriend even got to swim through a hole in the reef! We had so many wonderful laughs and drinks and really got to soak up the culture of the Dominican Republic! Our guides even taught us a little bachata and meringue on the boat! All in all I HIGHLY recommend this excursion!! You dont want to miss this!
