Why Travelers Choose This Tour
A step up from standard desert trips, this offers a longer-than-usual camel ride, and dinner at a luxe camp.
Begin your experience with a pickup from your central Dubai hotel. Settle inside your air-conditioned minivan and relax as travel into the desert. Meet your camel convoy and enjoy a 45-minute ride on a camel. Enjoy the views as your camel lumbers across the sands: you’ll soon understand how these hardy herbivores provide ideal transport for nomadic Bedouins. After around 45 minutes, arrive at a Bedouin-style camp inside a desert retreat owned by the UAE royal family. The compound stands amid rolling dunes and is illuminated by flame torches, giving it a truly Arabian feel. As the sun sets, watch a falconry demonstration. Admire the speed and elegance of the falcons as they answer their handlers’ commands and swoop for lures. Stroll into the dunes for photos of the sunset and enjoy a range of traditional desert activities inside a rustic-style Arabian tent. Sip Arabic coffee, get a henna tattoo, and learn to make Arabic breads with a step-by-step demonstration. Next, settle at a low Bedouin table for a 4-course feast of typical Emirati dishes with sodas and mineral water. See the Itinerary for a sample menu. Following dinner, choose to smoke a shisha (Arabic water pipe) and watch a display of traditional dancing and music under the stars. Return to Dubai in your minivan and end your experience with a hotel drop-off.
Incredible experience. All were so nice to give us a genuine bedouin welcome. Everything was excellent from the service to the camel ride, falconry, henna, traditional dancing, explanations. Food was also great. Highly recommended.
We loved every part of our Safari from the minute we were picked up right to the drop off. Our guide was so great explaining everything and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. It's a must do experience!
There were many of these desert safaris to pick from, and I was glad I chose this one. Our guide Karola was very helpful and informative. I had never been to this region of the world, so I wanted to experience a taste of the area. Enjoyed the camel ride, it was nice to get up close to the falcon, and the dinner camp and related demonstrations and experiences were really fun! Plenty of food, so come hungry!
well organized. jacob our guide was the ultimate professional. the culture was well explained and the food was great. The camel ride was maybe a little long but still a great part of the adventure. We would strongly recommend this trip to anyone visiting dubai
Excellently put together day/evening. You get dropped off and get a bag with a water bottle to fill up and a head scarf. You then get put on your camel and go for a long walk. The camels seem content. You get a little saddle-sore, but that's why you're there, right? They occasionally will stop and will take your photo for you with your camera. After the camel ride, you get to wash your hands and sit with a glass of grape juice and watch a falconry demonstration, which is far more impressive than you would expect. Finally, you are driven to the camp where the evening begins. There's entertainment with participation, food, drinks including camel milk, star-gazing... Quite an evening. It was sad when it ended. They even catered to my boyfriend's celiac dietary needs - you just have to let them know.
