Take a thrilling dune bash and savor a delicious barbecue dinner on this desert adventure from Dubai. Hop inside a comfortable 4x4 and cruise to the towering orange-red dunes of the Lahbab region. Enjoy an adrenaline-pumping dune drive as your driver skids, slides and plows up and down the slopes. Then, after a sunset photo stop, arrive at a Bedouin-style camp and enjoy a camel ride, sandboarding, and other desert activities. Cap your experience with a sumptuous barbecue accompanied by belly dancing and a fast-spinning ‘tanoura’ dance show and a Falcon show.
  • 4x4 dune bashing and desert camp experience from Dubai—with choice of 4- or 7-hour tour length
  • Visit a lamp-lit Bedouin-style desert camp for a BBQ dinner under the stars
  • Enjoy Arabic coffee and dates, ride a camel, try sand boarding and get a henna tattoo
  • Take photos with an Arabian Falcon
  • Watch 3 feature shows including an exotic belly dance, whirling dervish tanoura dances and electrifying fire dance
Choose between a 4- or 7-hour tour time and start your experience with a 4x4 pickup from your central Dubai hotel and zoom into the desert around the city. Optional upgrade available for a private pickup.
On route, listen as your guide shares information about the region and how Dubai rose from a fishing port into a cosmopolitan, wealthy city on the back of the discovery of oil during the 1950s and 1960s. See the light brown sands gradually shift into vivid orange and pink hues, and watch as the flat expanses crinkle up into undulating dunes all in a kaleidoscope of deep reds and golds.
Head off road into an area of bright red dunes known as the Lahbab region. Have your camera ready to capture what looks like giant beanbags of sands, and then hold tight you cruise toward the highest slopes. Then, feel the adrenaline race as your 4x4 plows up the dunes before sliding and slipping back down the slopes, churning up billowing clouds of sands in the process.
Afterward, take pictures of the sunset from the dunes before driving on to a Bedouin-style camp hidden in the middle of the desert.
Enter the torchlit camp and settle inside a cushion-strewn tent. Savor some fresh Arabian coffee and dates, and smoke a shisha (water pipe) if you wish.
Then, take your pick of desert activities. Perhaps take a camel ride, surf the dunes on a sandboard and get a henna tattoo painted on your hands or feet. If you fancy upping the pace, take an exciting buggy ride (additional cost) over the sands.
As dusk falls, dig into a scrumptious barbecue dinner of dishes such as kebabs, hummus, and salads accompanied by sodas and mineral water, and additional drinks (own expense) from the bar.
While you eat, enjoy a colorful belly dancing show and tanoura performance, where fast-spinning dancers whirl across the stage along with a Falcon show.
Finally, return to Dubai by 4x4, where your experience concludes with a hotel drop-off.

Best trip we have ever done! Great for couples and families. The experience was incredible lots of action and non stop fun!

I enjoyed this safari. I doubt I'll be in the desert again and definitely not driving around dune bashing. That was the best part. I'm a huge animal lover, so I didn't care for the camel ride. Poor things looked over worked, tired, and scared. They can leave that part out of this tour. Besides people got on, rode the camel in a small circle and got right back off. Not worth it for the camel nor for the people. Food and entertainment were okay. Our driver could have been nicer, all the way out to the desert and he said nothing. My friend was in another vehicle and she said her driver was talking all the way and telling them about the UEA an its history. Also his vehicle was full of trash and he was texting while driving.

Fantastic afternoon/evening, driven by the fabulous Mohammad Saddique, who looked after us so well. Picked up on time, very comfortable clean vehicle which held 6 of us in comfort. Thrilling ride in the desert, scary at times but felt safe in Saddique's hands. Great food and spectacular entertainment. Highly recommended.

Basically the safari was wonderful. The driver/guide was excellent, very informative and the after entertainment/meal was good. The only downfall were the amenities at the 1st stop. The whole area was dirty and unorganised.

Bishi was our driver who picked us up from our apartment, he was very accommodating from the get go and we felt safe the whole time. The whole experience was amazing, from the dune bashing in the 4x4, sandboarding and photo ops galore! When you get to the main camp the camel riding, henna and falconry are optional. There is a belly dancing show etc while you eat your dinner from the large buffet. Complimentary Arabic coffee and sweet treat on arrival also. We also stopped off at a quad bike area before the dune bashing which was optional and extra cost. Great experience but maybe not suitable for children under 8.

It was a great moment in family for Christmas with our guide Jabar. He's a very good sanddriver, very funny things.

Amazing experience. Our guide Amer was fun and professional. We had a rare opportunity of getting rained in the middle of the desert. This made the driving on the dune difficult but he was really skilled and totally reliable. Sitting down for dance shows and meal at the camp was a nice relaxing way to finish the day. The desert is so beautiful, it's worth a visit even if you are not interested in camel ride or other touristy stuff.
