Gracing the walls of the 35-room Olveston Historic Home in Dunedin, the Theomin art collection contains more than 240 works collected from around the world by the namesake family. Use your entrance ticket to the Jacobean-style mansion to view its fine furnishings, textiles and objets d'art. You’ll see what early 20th-century life was like in New Zealand.
Then take a 2-hour guided tour 'behind the barriers' in order to fully appreciate the magnitude of the collections. View art from the UK, Australia, France and Italy by notables such as Alessandro Botticelli, Henry Wyatt, Charles Worsley and Sir William Russell Flint, to name a few. Admire works by acclaimed New Zealand painters Grace Joel, Duncan Darroch, Charles Goldie, Frances Hodgkins and her father William Hodgkins.
