If you are ever in Durango, Co don't miss this tour. Its a full day of wonderful sights and adventure!. Jared was very informative and a wonderful helpful guide. My husband had a bit of a struggle managing the hike but Jared was so patient and helpful my husband was so thankful.
This was a wonderful tour conducted by our very knowledgeable guide. In addition to visiting many sites all with explanation of culture, we also got to tour the cliff house. While you can drive yourself around the park, I think you would miss out on a lot of the history.
I had the pleasure to be in a small group. Kellie was our tour leader and she was very knowledgeable and also knew the in and outs of Mesa Verde. Was shown some interesting spots and the quiet nature was something that I really miss in the big cities.
Even though we'd lived in Colorado for over 50 years, we'd never been to Mesa Verde. We are SO glad we did this tour when we finally decided to visit. Our guide, Kellie, was so knowledgeable and charming that we feel like we know so much more about this place and culture than we ever could have if we'd just gone through on our own. On the ride from Durango (which was very comfortable), she gave us a nice, comprehensive history of the pueblan peoples and Mesa Verde itself. Then, once we were in the park, she took us to the popular - and not as popular - places, and helped us understand the history and significance of each. Her passion for Mesa Verde and this culture was apparent throughout the day, and that she shared it with us was a special treat!
This tour was amazing! Our tour guide went above and beyond to make sure our trip was one of a kind. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. I would also recommend this company for any other sightseeing tours around the area. Their customer service is excellent.
The cliff dwellings are something that everyone should see. Very amazing! You do have to walk a lot for the Longhouse tour and if you have problems with vertigo like me it can be kind of scary but it's so worth seeing.
