Wonderful Tour!!!
, Dec 2019
Our guide, Jack, was amazing! He took the time to not only point out all the interesting buildings and landscape of Frankfurt & the Rhine River area, but also gave us a history of Germany and Frankfurt. He was engaging and got to know us, as soon as he learned that we loved futbol (soccer in the US) he went above and beyond to drop by the stadium and Futbol Association buildings. It was such a fun trip and memory!!!

Nice tour with a five star guide named Adrian giving a good tour along the one hour drive from Frankfurt to Rudesheim, diverting off of the Autobahn at times to show us traditional architecture in small towns along the way. The Christmas market in charming Rudesheim is really something worth seeing as it stretches along the streets and byways of inner Rudesheim past many little shops, taverns, and restaurants. I've been to many Christmas markets in Frankfurt, Munich, Nuremberg, Heidelberg, and Vienna, and this one is the most charming. The traditional holiday goose dinner is at a small restaurant on the Rhein called the Anker in the town adjacent to Rudesheim. The restaurant is friendly and very ornately decorated in vines and grapes and river nautical memorabilia. Be aware that alcoholic beverages are not included in the price. The dinner was quite tasty and the wait staff were very friendly. I give the restaurant an excellent score for friendliness and food preparation. However I give this tour two stars because it is greatly overpriced for what you get. The drive is only an hour, you walk around Rudesheim for an hour and a half on your own, and the dinner - while delicious - should only cost about 30 Euros max in any other restaurant given that alcohol including a glass of beer is excluded. So, I'm not sure why the tour company charges so much. This all does not warrant a 233 price tag! You are better off taking a train from Frankfurt to the Rudesheim station which is only three blocks from the market if what you mainly want to do is visit the Christmas market.
