Overview

Observe the Bahamas' underwater world during this 90-minute glass-bottom boat tour from Freeport. Cruise down the coast of Freeport towards Cooper's castle, viewing coral reefs, sharks, schools of tropical fish and shipwrecks. Learn about the underwater landscape and the marine life it hosts from your informative guide while you relax on this comfortable double-decker vessel.
  • 1.5-hour glass-bottom boat tour from Freeport
  • Cruise Freeport's coastal waters by double-decker boat, with a sundeck and shaded seating areas for your comfort
  • See marine life below your feet through the boat's transparent glass floor
  • Glide over shipwrecks teeming with surgeonfish, angelfish and reef sharks
  • Learn about the Bahamas's aquatic wonders from a knowledgeable guide
Meet your double-decker glass-bottom boat at Port Lucaya Marina. Board your 60-foot (18-meter) vessel and choose to sit on the sundeck or in a shaded area as you cruise out of the harbor.

As the boat glides down the coast, look out for Cooper's Castle, a fortress perched high on a hill over Freeport. Then turn your attention to the underwater world, clearly visible through the clear glass bottom of the ship.

View the 233-foot (71-meter) Theo's Wreck, a former cargo ship that is now home to underwater plants and plenty of fish. Move on to Brit's Wreck, near Treasure Reef where you're likely to see some sharks.

As you cruise over the calm, tropical waters, listen to your guide's commentary about the marine life, both plant and animal. Watch for queen angelfish, surgeonfish and the colorful blue tang. Relax and enjoy the spectacular underwater views without getting wet. At the conclusion of your 1.5 hour tour, your boat will return to Port Lucaya Marina.

One of the best glass bottom boat trips I have been on. Windows were very clear and easy to see through. Feeding the sharks was pretty awesome and crazy to see. Was also a nice boat ride in itself.

It was good. I think most would like it. For me personally, I read the ad wrong, and thought it was snorkeling once you get out there, but was mistaken. The sharks are nice to see out there. It's a long ride until you get to the action. Most lazy vacation people would love it, but I found it pretty boring. My fault though, for reading it incorrectly.

This was a fun tour with lots of chances to see a variety of sea life. The boat stops at two different reefs and you get to see a lot of different fish including some sharks. On the way out, the guide points out the various resorts and beaches along the coast line so it was also very enlightening. The views of the coast alone are worth the trip. The shark feeding demonstration is just wild.
