Your tour begins with pickup from your Hanoi hotel in time for a 9am departure. Traveling in the comfort of a private vehicle, set out on the around 40-minute drive to Bat Trang Ceramic Village.
On arrival, follow your guide on a walking tour of the village, stopping to peek into the artisan workshops, watch demonstrations of traditional ceramic making, and perhaps purchase some unique souvenirs.
Continue to a local bonsai farm, where bonsai and kumquat are cultivated, and learn how the trees form a key part of Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations. Next, visit an ancient house and enjoy a tour and tea with the owner, whose family has lived in the house for over 300 years. As you explore the house and gardens, hear stories about its history and learn how it was designed according to the principles of Fengshui.
Finally, sit down to enjoy a typical Vietnamese lunch, prepared by your hosts and gain a further insight into traditional culture.
Back in Hanoi, your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 1pm.
