A very novel way to explore parts of Hanoi that a more traditional tour might miss. It mixed sight seeing, cultural learning and a food tour into one very enjoyable tour. Travelling in the midst of the Hanoi traffic was an experience in itself.
Must do in Hanoi!

The tour was fabulous. Linh our guide was amazing & knowledgeable. We stopped at some wonderful places & ate some amazing dishes during the tour. It was a great experience! Thank you for the wonderful tour!

Our guide Alex was just excellent. Attentive and dedicated, he took us around Hanoi and showed us the sights that tourists don't get to see ordinarily. I was impressed by both the tour and our guide. I highly recommend!
Fun Jeep tour of Saigon

This was a very fun tour, especially due to the guide Snow who was professional but also very enthusiastic about the local culture and history. While other guides run on autopilot, Snow responded to my interests and catered my tour to something more specifically of interest to me. It helped that I happened to be the only tourist on this particular day but I’m sure she does an amazing job with the larger groups she shows around. I visited food stands and cafes away from the tourist crowds and even had a chance to sit with some senior men and chat over tea while Snow translated. She gave me many other tips also for the rest of my trip which was so helpful and above-and-beyond. The tour ended at a fantastic local soup place right by my hotel that she chose because of our talks about food. Highly recommended!

A fun, informative street-level tour of Hanoi, a fascinating and bustling city. The tour group is (necessarily) small, the ride is safe and the sites are unique and interesting. The guide was excellent.
Great tour. Must do! Highlight of our trip

We had an amazing food tour with Moon as our guide. She took Us to some amazing local spots they gave us a feel for what life is like living in Vietnam. I would highly recommend this tour. We had several food stops including some real local stops that you wouldn’t never find as a tourist. Moon is a GREAT guide. I cannot say enough great thinks about her. She explained everything and answered all our questions. The Jeep was a blast to ride around in the city. It is higher off the ground so you a great vantage point.
What a fun way to spend a few hours!

We had a great experience with Hanoi Back Street Tours! Hana in the office was so easy to work with. For this tour Jesse and our driver took in in back alleys and side streets - places dark and where we probably would not have otherwise gone! A night market for “second hand” goods? Yup. Residential neighborhoods? Check. The famous train street? Done. The cutest little coffee shop? Mhmm. It was just a lot of fun all around! Driving around Hanoi in an open-top vehicle was great but even better was having a tour guide who obviously loves his country and has so much hope for the future. Vietnam will be in good hands if everybody in the under-30 generation is as positive and hopeful as Jesse!
