A few details not mentioned in previous reviews:
The homestay is shared accommodation with many other trekkers. Not suitable for me, and not signalled at any point until arrival. There was minimal contact with the host family, other than some cute kids running around I didn't see or interact with them.
The trek is not straightforward, and the itinerary provided by viator was totally inaccurate. The first day we did 12 k and the next day 6k.
The bus company, as others have said, are run by another organization. As soon as we stopped for a break they were telling people to hurry up, which made the experience unpleasant.
Scenery was beautiful and the food was good. The tour guide was excellent and can be contacted directly on arrival in Sapa for those wishing to book with her directly.

Great tour with amazing views and fun homestay,I really enjoyed this tour. The views in sapa are amazing even though the hike itself was very slippery and a little challenging but still fun. Our tour guide Sung was very friendly and funny and told us interesting things about the village and it's people and the culture. Homestay was a lot nicer than I expected and the hosts very nice. In the evening they ate and drunk together with us and the other guests and played games. Good times! I really recommend this tour.

Unique experience . Excellent organization of the 2 days tour- unfortunately we did not have much time or we would have definitely spent more days in this paradise. Our guide Chew very good and nice. The trek to Lao Chai wonderful but challenging, we recommend you go if possible without backpacks but to have a change at the hotel. You will live an unforgettable experience thanks to the meticulous organization.

Great local tour guide with excellent services and Staffs, and I was impressed by how well organized it was. I asked them to book the hotel in sapa for me instead of homestay. They picked me up from the hotel in Hanoi, dropped me off at the bus terminal in sapa, someone from sapa hotel was there to pick me up and walk me to the hotel. First day was an easy trek to Cat Cat village and walk back to the hotel together. Second day was hard, it was rainy and the path all muddy. Make sure you ask the hotel for a pair of rain boots free of charge. I wouldn't have been able to make it without them. Also be aware that there would be locals waking along trying to trick you to pay for their private tour service, so don't fall for it. This local woman offered me help as it was slippery and muddy throughout the trek, then asked me to pay for her help at the end. But overall, it's a good tour and worth the trip.
