Do not choose this tour if you want to go to state park to see totem poles. City tour was fine but extremely disappointed when driver took us to commercialized totem area instead. Viator did a good job on replying to my complaint though.
A wonderfully informative tour of the city and Totem Bight. Our tour guide was very well informed and very engaging. The totems were our favorite part, which are scattered throughout the city. This is a tour well worth the time and money!!
MJ was our guide....such a lovely person and so knowledgeable. We toured all around Ketchikan catching site of a whale and many note worthy historical buildings. She also pointed our where she'd gone to school and was continuing her education.....made it very personable. We then visited the Totem Bight Park.....oh my goodness so many totems and so many stories behind each. I think my favorite was the very simple one with the bear on top and the paw prints leading from the base of the pole to the top. She knew so much about the flora and fauna of the area and made it interesting...much more so than a lecture. Questions didn't faze her so it didn't seem like she was doing a memorized spiel. Would highly recommend this tour.
