Start your day around 8:45am with a pickup from your central Kuala Lumpur hotel. Some pickups will start before this time, so check your reconfirmation from the tour operator for the exact schedule. Continue by coach for two hours outside the city center to the Malaysian state of Pahang, where you’ll explore an unexpected aboriginal settlement and observe the residents' fascinating daily activity. Join the indigenous people as they hunt for food, build fires and listen to their stories, thanks to translations from your guide.
Proceed next to Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary, a conservation center tasked with saving Asian elephants whose natural homes have been lost due to urbanization. The sanctuary offers a chance to learn about the center’s work and discover the importance of preserving both the animal’s habitats and their natural environment. Observe these gentle animals in their meticulously re-created natural environments, allowing them a chance to gain their strength back before being let loose back in the wild.
Around noon, take a break to enjoy a packed lunch or by enjoying an included meal at a local restaurant. Finish your excursion with a ride back to Kuala Lumpur and drop-off at your hotel.
Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.
