Start the day with 8am pickup at your hotel in Hanoi, then begin the 2-hour trip into the Tam Dao mountain range, which rises 3,280 feet (1,000 mt.) above sea level. Your first stop of the day is the resort town of Tam Dao: French colonists founded the town in the early 1900s, drawn by the cool air, green landscape, and drifting fog. Their villas were destroyed in the Franco-Viet Minh War, but the peaceful setting has kept it a favorite destination for Hanoians.
This full-day tour combines Tam Dao’s nature and culture, and you’ll have plenty of time to swim in a mountain pool and hike to Silver Waterfall, which flows 165 feet (50 meters) over rocks and jungle foliage. Pause to refuel over lunch, then visit a Tam Dao temple that’s dedicated to the Goddess of the Jungle. At the end of the day, begin the return trip to Hanoi, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
